"This home offered our family of four everything we needed after a busy VT day. We were very comfortable there during our weeklong stay. We particularly enjoyed the screened-in porch and the pool table. Although we did not cook much during our stay the kitchen was well-equipped. The house is very well-maintained and the owners were friendly and responsive to our questions.
We loved being right in Shelburne in such close proximity to the Shelburne Museum, Shelburne Farms, as well as the many fine restaurants and shops. It was also convenient to drive into Burlington. Highly recommended."

"The location of this property was perfect for what we were looking for. The price was better than renting a hotel room and it gave us room to entertain. The old has has lots of elegance and charm from yesteryear and the furnace really does keep the house toasty warm. We spent most of our time in the huge eat in kitchen.
We had asked about the firewood situation when we reserved and was told there would be some there but when we got there there was none. I mentioned it to Gina and her SO is having medical issues and said we could get some :(. Luckily someone brought us some incase the lights went out (they had gone out our first night due to a fire in Chester Depot).
A few draw backs were having to bring in our own sheets and towels. When we got there, the cupboards were full of towels with a note saying if you use their persons items you don't get your cleaning deposit back.....that was okay since we were prepared. However a leak in the upstairs sink did manage yo get them wet. Also, one of the full beds has been changed to a queen.
We did not have cellphone service at the house although some of the locals that came to visit did. This is not Ginas fault. It is just a drawback and should be noted. I think the service there was Verizon.
All in all it was a very good trip and I think Gina is a terrific person! I think her caretaker should have been taking care of these issues for her, especially given the circumstances.
I would recommend this place to anyone that wanted to be in the heart of snow country and didn't mind the quirks of staying in an old house!!"

"We are frequent visitors to Stratton mtn and we've always stayed in a hotel. For this weekend we decided to invite our friends to spend the weekend and celebrate my son's birthday. This is my first time to rent a house and organize a trip that involved 3 families! The experience was great!!! Thanks to Lucy and Mike who shared their house & were very responsive to my inquiries. We loved the open concept of the 1st floor. We were able to mingle without being on top of each other & the bedrooms were spacious. Definitely coming back"

"We have enjoyed this house for the past 3 winter seasons. My family as well as our close friends (4 adults, 6 kids) cannot say enough about this property. With nice large bedrooms and amazing views it has it all! We sled down the large back hill, ice skate on the pond, hike through the woods and enjoy the peace and quiet of the many acres it includes. Our kids look forward to this vacation every year and this home couldn't be more perfect for a large group. The owners are so accommodating and go out of their way to make your stay wonderful. The kitchen is very well stocked and the fireplace makes it so warm and inviting. We do go skiing at Stratton which is about a 40 minute drive and snow tubing at Mount Snow which is only 20 minutes away. Simply put-this home a little peace of heaven in the mountains=)"
