"Our two night stay at the red farmhouse was perfect. The house was extremely clean, well appointed with everything you would need, and such a great location. Only a few minutes away from Sugarbush (slightly closer to Mt. Ellen) and Mad River Glen and less than a 5 minute drive away from the town of Waitsfield, which has plenty of restaurants and a convenient grocery store. In prior years we've stayed at a variety of places just a few minutes away from here but this is going to be our #1 option going forward. The kitchen was recently re-done and we did quite a bit of cooking for our group. We really couldn't have asked for anything more. The owner was great and always responsive. As long as he keeps renting I will keep coming back, only next time hopefully for much longer! Thanks again!!!"

"We absolutely adored our time at this lakefront cottage. It was more than we could ever have asked for. We spent 4 nights over New Years here and fully unplugged. I honestly didn't know what to expect at the cottage as the pictures didn't show much, but there's no way that pictures could do justice to this well appointed and thought out place. We stopped for groceries in Colebrook, NH on our way up, and we got many different spices and condiments, none of which we needed as the kitchen is impressively stocked. We had grand plans of snowmobiling and skiing the week away, but the weather had other plans. It rained the entire week before we arrived so the snow was hard packed. I was really bummed out on my drive up all the way from South Carolina, but quickly stopped worrying about it upon arrival. We had more fun exploring the area, visiting Montreal, going on hikes, cooking dinners, and playing silly board games with the wood stove burning than any amount of snowmobiling could have brought. We were so sad to leave and we're already planning on our return trip to enjoy this great spot in the warm weather this summer! Thanks to Joannie for helping us out with anything we could possibly need on our trip and to Judy for sharing her lovely place with us."

"My spouse and I have been travelling to Vermont for 30 years.
Just discovered Mary's little piece of paradise this year, spent 10 nights in July with our teen aged daughter.
Will definitely be returning in both summer and winter. Close to everything, yet perfectly secluded.
Mary is the perfect host, very gracious and welcoming, along with her dog Sunny and cat Taffy.
Fresh salad greens from the garden were appreciated.
Great private swimming pond, fire pit and perfectly equipped cottage. Our daughter loved her little loft which soon became her nest.
Chickens and rooster across the road very entertaining and the 3 dozen fresh eggs were the best we have ever eaten.

"Our 12-person Tough Mudder team stayed in this house for the weekend of Tough Mudder New England at Mount Snow for Friday and Saturday night.
The house is cozy and relaxing on a quiet street with lots of room for parking. The house is minutes from Carinthia and Mount Snow's main lodge, a dream for the winter months. The beds were comfortable (except the extra sofa bed, but that's to be expected) and the kitchen was well supplied. Everything in the house is labeled from light switches to drawers which is nice for travelers, don't have to guess where things belong. This house definitely has character and is very welcoming.
The only negative thing I have to say is that two days before our arrival through our departure date I have called and left several messages for the owner and still have not heard back. Communication with the owner up until then was great but I'm upset that she disappeared right before we left when we had important questions.
The toilet in the basement was also out of order which made things difficult."
