  • Awesome Vermont Getaway

"I came up to Owlswood over memorial day weekend with a group of friends and we had an amazing time. Suzanne was great to work with--quick to reply to questions, friendly and supremely professional--and the house is perfect. (It's clean, homey and, I'd say, even roomier than the pictures let on.) I hope we'll have the chance to come back to the house later this summer or, possibly, in the winter! Highly recommend."

  • Perfection!

"This place had it all! Our family had so much fun that my 18 month old was calling it "home" after we had only been there for 24 hours! It truly felt like a home. It was exactly what you hope for out of a ski house. High ceilings with wooden trim and wood on top of more wood coupled with wood burning fireplaces. It was the best family getaway in a long time and we are looking forward to doing it again in 2015. The location was tucked between the tall trees and was only a 5 minute walk (in ski boots) to a path where we were able to jump right onto the mountain. We parked the car when we arrived and did not touch it again until it was time to leave. We loved the ability to grille and use the hot tub and play board games and watch movies on some really nice televisions. It also snowed 9" just a couple of days before we arrived and it snowed again on 3/22 which made it even better. It was great to be able to take the dog for a walk without having to worry about cars flying by as well. We woke up and managed to catch the tail end of the sunrise one day as the snow flakes fell between the massive trees that surrounded us and it was incredibly beautiful and impressive. Honestly, as I am writing this I wish we were all back there right now."

  • Gorgeous Slopeside Condo!

"Just wanted to share how much we enjoyed our stay at this lovely condo. The owner was quite pleasant, responsive and quick to help us organize the rental. This property is the premier place to stay in Stowe, the resort has all the amenities one would wish for including staff that remembers your name, a ski valet that prepares and puts out your skis/boots each morning and a gorgeous heated pool and hot tub making relaxing after a long day on the hills a real pleasure! The condo while on the first floor is quiet, private and has a beautiful view of the pool and a partial view of the mountain behind it. It contains everything one would want, a king bed, fold out sofa, gas fireplace, luxury full bath, kitchenette with dishwasher, refrigerator, a one-burner stovetop and all the necessary supplies. Excellent mini-vacation!"

  • The photographs do not do justice to the property

"We rented the Duck and Dog Lodge, sight unseen. We had no experience with the local environment or what to expect. The property is absolutely charming. Very comfortable for the 4 adults in our group... with every amenity available. One of our group was homebound and there was comfortable outdoor/indoor seating for naps and long sessions of reading. Others hiked and shopped. The home was spotlessly clean, the beds comfortable, the systems in place for water, showers, trash, electricity everything was functioning and easy to work. The owners welcomed us with a charming note and were a phone call away. A car is a must as in order to reach the dead end haven where the Duck and Dog is tucked away... one needs transport. A perfect visit to Vermont."
