  • Excellent choice!

"My wife, two kids and I stayed here for 3 nights over the February break, and had a fantastic time! The space is perfect for a family: there is a master bedroom, and another bedroom with two bunks (4 beds), perfect for kids with a friend or two. Everything was clean and ready: we brought a cooler and a couple of bags of food and we were all set. The house is in a very quiet, mountain road setting, perfect for a night walk on the road, not a sound except the wind in the trees. We had bad weather one day so we didn't ski, but the location is a perfect launch to go do other things, and for skiing it's only 15 minutes to the Stowe resort. We also enjoyed the hot tub. A very cozy place: we couldn't have asked for a better house or location, and I'd certainly rent here again! In addition, the hosts were totally accessible and responsive. Thanks!"

  • Lovely house in fabulous setting

"Two families stayed in this house for MLK weekend. There were 8 of us but the house could have easily accommodated more. The house is absolutely incredible. New built, charming, clean, tons of windows letting in sunlight. It is very upbeat and bright, yet cozy at the same time. Although it is spacious, it was still easy to keep an eye on the children as they loved hanging out in the loft complete with a hammock. The house is very clean, with spacious bedrooms and spotless bathrooms. The location of the house is also worth noting. It is on a private island that is close to everything yet "away from it all" as there are only three homes on the island. The rushing river by the house is soothing and the perfect "white noise" for sleeping at night. Rob is very easy to work with and was very considerate. Our only issue is that he doesn't rent it out often enough =( My kids are already asking about when they can return. We went to Stratton which was a quick drive. Highly recommend the house for the location, house itself, and the lovely setting!"

  • Great Labor Day Weekend

"Great lake views, cute little cottage. Water was great for swimming, lounging, and fishing. We didn't have a boat, but there is a boat rental close by. Everything you need is at the cottage: grill, microwave, stove, fridge, floating things for the water, board games, TV/internet, etc. There are only twin beds, which is a negative, and they are not really able to be squeezed together because of the layout of the rooms. Water in the plumbing is not for drinking or cooking, however some drinking water is supplied and was enough for two people for the entire weekend of cooking and making drinks and coffee. Not really a big deal. I would visit again (and give 5 stars) if the rooms were changed to allow a queen bed (supporting posts split the bedrooms). Besides the sleeping arrangements, this place was very charming and we had a great time."

  • It was PERFECT!

"A great house, perfect for our group of eight. Great location, convenient to skiing and snowshoeing, as well as the village of Woodstock. House was well-maintained, and owner was very prompt with replies to any questions. We would stay there again, no question!"
