  • Nice Ski Condo

"This was a nice, comfortable ski condo for a family of 4. Everything is there, the trails are a couple hundred yards but walkable in ski boots, the swimming pool is right across the street, the owners are friendly and responsive. And it is priced right. The fleece blankets / throws are the softest I have ever felt and we all wrapped ourselves up in them by the fire. The only downside is that it is a little worn around the edges, but whether that bothers you is a matter of opinion. Kitchen stuff could use an upgrade, knives weren't sharp, gadgets were old and not always clean, drawers were a little disorganized and sticky. The ski locker was filled with 5 or 6 foldable chairs and not easily used for guest skis (we had to move that stuff out into the condo and then replace it before leaving). Little things like that. Could it use a little makeover, organization or renovation? Sure. But in owner's defense, that seemed to be factored into the price and the unit was not misrepresented, so 5 stars. And since I do all the cooking and ski storage, I was the only one it bothered, everyone else thought it was great."

  • Great Weekend Getaway!

"This is the perfect spot for a weekend away! Tucked in the hills of Montgomery and just down the road from Jay Peak, these unique cottages are a great place to get a little R & R! We stayed in the Sugar House cottage and couldn't have been more comfortable. The room had everything we needed, the bed was comfortable and everything was very clean and well maintained. The property is perfect for a little stroll in the woods, complete with a brook, hot tub, and beautiful view. The local area offers some great restaurant options (we loved The INN), hiking, biking and of course all that Jay Peak provides (tram, waterpark, golf, skiing, etc.). The wedding barn is going to be an excellent addition and is simply beautiful! Shawna and Eamon are friendly, welcoming hosts and we are looking forward to another stay at Sheady Acres!"

  • Great Rental!

"My husband and I along with a few other couples rented this house for the weekend in late May. The house was beautiful and exceptionally clean. It had all the amenties you could ask for. Although you can easily fit 12 adults, the layout is such that you don't feel cramped and there is plenty of room for everyone to lounge. We took full advantage of the outdoor fire pit all weekend long. We would definately rent again and hope to do so this winter. An extra plus, the owner was super helpful and gave us plenty of suggestions for local restaurants, shops and attractions !"

  • Great ski weekend away

"The cabin was perfect for a group of old friends to go skiing at Jay for the weekend! The gourmet kitchen was well equipped, the wood burning stove is a great centerpiece for the living room kept us warm despite the -25* wind chills when we were up there, and the bathroom was beautiful! We would definitely recommend 4wd if you are going during the winter month. Overall, great weekend!!!"
