  • Better Than Expected

"The experience of staying in this beautiful chalet/ski lodge was so much better than I expected, I asked to book another stay with the wonderfully hospitable owners before I even left. Perfectly comfortable and stunningly impressive, with its gourmet kitchen, massive stone fireplace, views of Stratton Mountain, cozy nooks, open spaces, 30 foot plus ceiling and enormous table and benches perfect for socializing, this house had every convenience and comfort I could want on a weekend getaway, plus a few extra. I look forward to my next stay."

  • Stay in Bennington

"This worked out to be an excellent rental. Great neighborhood, walking distance from downtown shops, plenty of room for everyone in our party to spread out. Kitchen is well appointed, dining room large enough for "family" meals. Would like to go back in the summer to use the wrap-around porch. Will rent again next time travels bring me to Bennington!!"

  • Highly Recommended!

"I stayed here with a group of 8 people looking for a ski getaway. The house was incredibly clean and prepped to our expectations. The directions for use of the house provided by Chuck were very simple to follow and made for a smooth check in/check out. The place was incredibly comfortable and had all the amenities we needed for the weekend. There was only one hiccup in our stay - the hot tub would not get hot the first night or after skiing at all. I left Chuck a message and he promptly returned my call with directions on how to rectify the situation. He proceeded to call 30 minutes later to make sure it was still working right. When it was not, he guided me through a reset process and troubleshoot EVERYTHING until the hot tub was finally heating up. It didn't make a difference that it wasn't hot at first; Chuck's attentiveness and willingness to help create a situation to our satisfaction speaks volumes about him and the end situation was still the same pleasurable result - kudos to him! I am already planning a trip for next winter and the entire group suggests staying at this home again. Chuck - thank you for everything!"

  • The Perfect Family Wedding House

"We had a wonderful stay at Bear Down. The location was ideal for the wedding event at Camp Plymouth. The place is bigger than it appears on the VRBO web site and it was great to have a large living space for family from both sides to mingle between events and for the bride to dress with her Mom and girl friends. The owner, Randy, was very accommodating for a special request that we had and was very response via text on a minor question on getting the WiFi reset. He keeps the house well supplied with essentials - spices, condiments - with a simple policy "please help your self. If you finish something replace it.""
