  • Well Appointed Lakefront Home

"My husband and two adult children just spent one week at the Samson vacation property. The home overlooks the lake is only 10 mins from St.Albans. It is a large 3 bedroom bungalow with all the amenities including a fully stocked kitchen, 5 appliances, bbq, 1 1/2 bathrooms, nicely appointed living room and the queen and double beds are very comfortable. The home was clean however some finer "details" such as the coffee pot and wine glasses were missed. Lake access was a bit difficult as there is a 5' drop and the stairs which had been broken had not yet been replaced. The beach is very rocky, so water shoes are needed and there is no dock so when we left our boat in the water during the day it had to be anchored off-shore and removed daily. Lake Champlain is beautiful and quite warm. My husband and son fished daily and my daughter and I cycled everyday as the roadways are excellent and the scenery is fantastic. Steve a family member who leaves a few doors away was very helpful and responsive to our needs. We ran out of propane and before I knew it he had the tank refilled. Note, there was a requirement to launder all linens before leaving but with a 10 am check-out, we felt there was not enough time so we brought and used our own. All and in all and great location and comfortable home."

  • Secluded Vermont Cabin

"Even before we arrived at the cabin, the owner was most responsive in answering my questions which is why I chose this cabin for our vacation. As soon as I walked in, I felt right a home as the photos accurately reflected the rental's appearance and amenities. The property was clean but some trimming of the greenery facing the road could have been trimmed so that we had a better view of the lake. The description is that it is secluded, which to some extent it is, but it is also adjacent to Scenic Route 100, so there could be a lot of car and motorcycle noise during the day. However, the location was most convenient as it afforded us access to many other parts of Vermont to explore and to hike. The biggest town, Ludlow, with shopping and restaurants, was about 15 minutes away. Everything we needed for a week's stay in a vacation cottage was provided. The cabin had a dock but it had gotten damaged in the July 4th rains just before our stay, making it unusable. The owner was generous enough to give us a discount on our rental fee for the week, which was unexpected. Should we return to Vermont for a vacation, we would certainly consider staying here again."

  • Awesome Home Near Sugarbush in Warren, VT

"We spent the week after Christmas at this beautiful home in Warren, VT. It was roomy and comfortable and worked great for our family and friends to ski and celebrate the Holidays. The hot tub was the perfect way to end a day on the slopes or the nearby XC ski/ snowshoe trails. The town of Warren is a little gem- lots of restaurants and fun bars nearby, (taxi service available!) and Sugarbush/ Mad River is literally a few minutes drive away. Having college-aged kids, it was nice to be together, but they also had their own hangout area as well and the added plus of the pool table in the loft. We so enjoyed our stay and hope to return one day soon!"

  • GREAT PLACE & VERY RESPONSIBLE/CARING OWNER

"My son and his college friends just spent a great week enjoying the Killington skiing AND the many amenities and conveniences of this very well-maintained, secluded gem. As importantly, the owner is extremely responsible, and he has a caretaker living in close proximity for any issues. In my son's case, his car became stuck outside the house after another snowfall. When an AAA tow truck was unable to reach him because of the snowed in driveway, the caretaker promptly plowed and pulled the car out. Meanwhile, Vince, the owner, who was on a trip out West, called very early (for him) to confirm that everything was okay. I spoke to him, and I am confident that anyone wanting to rent this place will find that they are well taken care of and very fairly and kindly treated by an owner who is personally invested in this special place."
