"We recently spent spring break in Abingdon. This property was AMAZING and perfect in every way! Fabulous location for bike rentals, the trail and restaurants! We spent two days biking the trail and my kids loved running around the yard in the afternoon while the adults sipped wine on the screened in porch. We walked next door for bike rentals and walked to dinner at wonderful restaurants each night! The house is spacious, clean, new and super comfortable. The owner could not be more accommodating and gracious! She was extremely helpful with maps, restaurant recommendations and other questions we had. We will definitely be back to Abingdon and will DEFINITELY be staying here!"

Great location for the Creeper Trail- and well-stocked for families
"This is a lovely retreat with easy access to the Creeper Trail, the Crooked Road, Damascus, and Abingdon. Well-appointed and clean! The bonus area in the garage with games, ping pong, and air hockey even has a large barbecue grill to use. The goats will welcome you and the hosts provide treats for them if you want to engage with them directly. Plenty of dishes, cookware, and a tidy kitchen to cook or heat things up. The downside is that there is virtually no cell phone signal and the house does not have wifi. You will truly be disconnected for your stay."

"Great owners! Once inside the cabin you will know why they named it the Crooked Cabin. We all loved the characteristics and charm! The cabin has a fully equipped kitchen. There were wonderful apple scones with an assortment of juices, tea, coffee, cream and sugar waiting for us. The location is fantastic, walking distance to some really nice restaurants, to the Barter Theater, farmers market, Wolf's Brewery and lots of beautiful shops. We are looking forward to visiting the Crooked Cabin and Abingdon again!"

"Absolutely had a wonderful time in Abingdon where we stayed at the delightful Meafow Cottage for 4 nights. We took our daughter and her two children to ride The Creeper Trail and ended up requesting an extra night. There is so much to do and see..Barter Theatre, Heartwood Artisan Center, Artist Depot, Farmers Market...we walked our legs off...but the best part was returning to "our little cottage" to unwind and enjoy the quiet. The cottage is totally private....seems like a country setting in the middle of town. We had deer that visited each night and enjoyed watching the baby rabbits chase each other. The cottage is equipped with everything we needed, right down to board games and cards. The owners gave us a guest pass to the Coomes Center for swimming...but we did not have time to do anything but use the great playground. The owners also had plenty of juice, coffees and teas for us to enjoy and the best apple cinnamon bread. We couldn't have asked for a better spot for our family trip. When we asked the kids what they liked best, they were unanimous "pizza by the firepit"! Success!"
