"After many years of talking about doing the Virginia Creeper Trail, we finally made it down from Norther VA. We wanted a cottage so that we could come and go as we pleased. What a great getaway and Jim and Jennifer were so welcoming and friendly. We usually do B&Bs...we for sure will be back to Meadow Cottage. It was pristine and so cheerful and the quiet we enjoyed was unbelievable...made coming back up to Beltway City even more sad. We arrived to find a loaf of Jennifer's apple bread, juice and 1/2 and 1/2 for our coffee in the AM and on the last evening, Jennifer dropped by with cookies.....loved this place!!"

"Great owners! Once inside the cabin you will know why they named it the Crooked Cabin. We all loved the characteristics and charm! The cabin has a fully equipped kitchen. There were wonderful apple scones with an assortment of juices, tea, coffee, cream and sugar waiting for us. The location is fantastic, walking distance to some really nice restaurants, to the Barter Theater, farmers market, Wolf's Brewery and lots of beautiful shops. We are looking forward to visiting the Crooked Cabin and Abingdon again!"

"We brought our church youth up to Bluefield WV for a mission trip and we stayed in the cabin one night to just have some quiet time to prepare and reflect on the mission ahead. The cabin was clean and plenty big for the boys and girls to be seperated ( we put the boys in the basement area ). The land was peaceful and beautiful scenery no matter the direction you looked. We had a delight the next morning when a bear came galloping through the field from the right and down to the front then off into the woods line."

"My family enjoyed the Abingdon cottage after a long bike ride down the Virginia Creeper Trail. It is conveniently located to nice restaurants and other town attractions. You really feel the small town atmosphere with a vintage but comfortable surroundings. The cottage had all the amenities but without the need to check-in to a nice hotel."
