"My family enjoyed the Abingdon cottage after a long bike ride down the Virginia Creeper Trail. It is conveniently located to nice restaurants and other town attractions. You really feel the small town atmosphere with a vintage but comfortable surroundings. The cottage had all the amenities but without the need to check-in to a nice hotel."

"We have stayed in this house multiple years and have thoroughly enjoyed each time! Mike and Abby have been SO helpful with any questions or needs we have. I recommend this home every time we talk to others about visiting the area, we wouldn't want to stay elsewhere.
The house is warm, clean and complete with all you need for a visit (my friend uses the griddle every time we come :)
The convenience to the VCT and other areas we like to fish is great. This past year we went to a few festivals and areas to visit that Abby & Mike recommended and it was so much fun!
Thanks for opening your home to us!
Barbara & Jeff"

"This cabin is adorable and has everything you need! It is so convenient to Mt. Airy and Hillsville for the Flea Market. But on highway 52 there are little shops all along the way and you don't need to wait for the flea market to come around! The beds were super comfortable and the cabin is decorated nicely. Carolyn was in touch right away and so accommodating! Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again! Only downside was I didn't get cell phone service, but she did have a land line we could use. The internet wasn't very strong so if you need to use internet it probably wouldn't be a good choice."

"Me, my significant other, and our two dogs enjoyed our stay at this rustic log cabin over a long weekend. The grounds a secluded, well kept, and remind me of my great grandmother's farm. Inside the cabin was much larger than I thought from the pictures. We enjoyed the wood burning fireplace and woodstove in the kitchen. The décor in and out of the cabin is rustic, eclectic, and very enjoyable to behold. The cabin is filled with cozy quilts and we had no trouble keeping warm. The yard is fenced with a wooden slat-type fence with barbed wire, but it doesn't completely close in pets. Our dogs did great staying in the fenced part of the yard despite that. There are plenty of dishes, silverware, and glassware, but I'd recommend if you plan to cook inside on the electric stove that you bring any pans or cookware needed. There are two grills, a large and small one. There was plenty of bedding and towels/etc. We were looking for a quiet, "unplugged" getaway, and this was perfect! Pam was great, and the fresh cut flowers were a welcoming touch. She had the fireplace ready to go for us, and the whole experience was frustration free and relaxing. Highly recommended. We visited Chateau Morrissette, a winery about 20 minutes away on the blue ridge parkway while we were there (it's also dog friendly)."
