"This house was a wonderful place to stay. The owners are great people. Down to earth and were great hosts. There was a treat of home made bread ,jelly, pie and ginger bread . We felt more at home there than any place we have ever stayed. And given a chance we will go back. We loved every single thing. I will miss it there. And we will miss them too. Thank you so much."

"We had such a great time! The kitchen was perfect for preparing meals for our large family and just to hang out. We loved the fireplace and the comfy living room. Plenty of bathrooms. The grounds are beautiful--the leaves were turning. Frost in the morning-- so peaceful. We just loved it! We are already planning our next visit!!"

"Friends and I stayed here with the purpose of riding the VCT we also found many other things to do. This would make our third ride of the trail both ways ;) Including visiting the beautiful Damascus area and eating the good food. Great location to ride the VCT! Whitetop trailhead is about a half mile away. The Stamper house has everything you need to enjoy the area anywhere from Whitetop to Abingdon. Owners Frank & Jenna were very easy to make arrangements with. Will definitely stay here again! It was an unforgettable way to spend my birthday!"

"We brought our church youth up to Bluefield WV for a mission trip and we stayed in the cabin one night to just have some quiet time to prepare and reflect on the mission ahead. The cabin was clean and plenty big for the boys and girls to be seperated ( we put the boys in the basement area ). The land was peaceful and beautiful scenery no matter the direction you looked. We had a delight the next morning when a bear came galloping through the field from the right and down to the front then off into the woods line."
