"A beautiful cozy cabin in an idyllic setting made for a wonderful weekend. This is a great location halfway between my husband and I in NJ and our son and his family in Tennessee to meet for a long weekend. The owners are very helpful, the cabin is immaculate and comfortable. Relaxing on the swing on the huge front porch is pure bliss. Highly recommended!"

"We loved the place: the dock, the evening fires, the great house and land, the wonderful view of Claytor lake.
The first day we dropped kayaks into the lake from the State Park and rowed them over, its very close, but the end of the week we carried them up the stairs and up the path to the road. That was a big effort but quicker than driving to the park - most people won't want to do that.
We biked the New River bike path and crossed several bridges and through a tunnel. That was a great trip.
We saw many dear and at least 10 turkeys lived just over the hill on the way out.
Its easily one of the best vacations we've ever had."

"My family comes from Indiana, South Carolina and Georgia to meet up with Virginia family for Thanksgiving. This was the perfect place. It was like living in a postcard for 4 days. We found it clean and ready for us. Lots of room. The living/family room was large enough for all of us to sit, laugh and play multiple games. Very well stocked with everything you could want in kitchen. A trip to Mabry Mill was a must to see it covered in snow. Chateau Morrisette was extra special since it was their Christmas tree lighting day and we not only experienced the wine tasting for free but also enjoyed the school choir performing Christmas songs and peformance of a scene from the Nutcracker by a local dance group. The owner was very friendly and lightning fast prompt in responding to email questions and calls."

"My nephew graduated VT as Second Liuetenant United States Airforce and this was his choice. 50 min away from campus but well worth the drive. House is spacious and inviting. Easily sleeps 8 or more beautiful view of lake and great for swimming off dock. Quiet peaceful and relaxing. Ample parking. We went fishing but not a bite. Roads are dark easily miss house at night travel in daylight hours. Lots of fun Great place for a celebration!"
