"My wife and I rented this home after a lengthy internet search so we could celebrate my sons's birthday in a relaxed setting. He is hiking the AT and we wanted to give him a couple of comfortable days where he didn't need to "rough it". Renting sight unseen is a bit of a gamble since online pictures avoid negatives and discriptions skip over shortcomings. What a lucky find. The house was all as advertized ... and more. First you notice its curb appeal then once inside its spaciousness and comfortable feeling. Room sizes are generous but not too big. So clean that everything sparkles. Fittings are practical for a mountain home, and the design of the house shows thoughtful consideration of maximizing the views. We have stayed at a number of places in the States and overseas, both modest and high-end, and never had I relaxed so much and worried so little.
Exploring around, we found the grounds were more extensive than I suspected. We all especially enjoyed hiking the trails and my son and I fished the river, which was very clean and easy to wade. After all the exercise, we went directly to the hot tub for a long soak. We plan to return and highly recommend this home to others looking for a quiet getaway."

"We rented Jack and Mary's place for a family reunion in the area. Where do I start, we loved our time there. The creek in the backyard was a huge hit with everyone (kids and adults). There was a glider to sit on and listen to the water and watch the children play. There is a nice fire pit with benches outside along with a tree swing. There were plenty of chairs outside for everyone to sit and spend time together on the lovely covered porch. The kitchen had all of the dishes, pots and pans and so forth that we needed. The house had plenty of room and the beds were very comfortable. The downstairs was new and lovely. I loved the family photos in the house, especially "Where is Jack". We felt like we were at home.
This is such a lovely, peaceful home and we enjoyed staying there very much. I have become the hero of our family for finding this home and we kept asking "Why do we stay in hotels again..." We are already talking about when we can rent it again to come up and relax in the mountains. God bless your family and thank you."

"We had a lovely time at the inn. The house was very welcoming and the beds were comfortable. We also enjoyed watching the bicyclist passing by on their way down the mountain.
The kitchen was well equipped with almost anything you might need. We were glad that we brought plenty of groceries because there was not one close by.
We loved the creek beside the house and even put our feet in the cold water despite the cooler temperatures we were having.
The inn manager was very accommodating . We enjoyed our nearby visit to Abingdon and Damascus, but the road getting there was very curvey.
I would definitely recommend this property to someone who wants to get away to a peaceful spot in the mountains."
