  • Alumni back in Bburg, and couldn't be happier!

"Myself and a couple of colleagues were in Blacksburg recruiting for the Business Horizons Career Fair. Unfortunately, we looked to book our Hotel rather late and couldn't find a decent hotel which was vacant and in Blacksburg. I'm glad we got creative and looked into VRBO to find this hidden gem. The place was very nice and new, and more than we even needed, but a great place to go back to after a long day of recruiting. This would definitely be a great option for a Football Weekend. It is still very close to everything and an easy Hooptie Ride from downtown. Also, I can't say enough about Roger and Julie, they made it very easy to book and keep the place in beautiful condition for any guest to enjoy their time in Blacksburg. Highly Recommend for any guest!"

  • Perfect Creeper Trail lodging

"Our family visited Damascus last week to bike the Creeper Trail and do some hiking in the area. This house really added to the quality of our trip. We loved the character of the home and the location was unbeatable. It was very clean and comfortable. The owner was extremely helpful and friendly. We would love to stay at this location on our future trips to Damascus."

  • We had a great time at Courter Moon

"We had a great time at your place, everything went fine. The weather was not very cooperative but we did manage to get out every day and practice our outdoor activities in the area. We did the trails at Fairy Stone park as well as Rock Castle Gorge loop with a Friday evening at Floyd to listen to bands and a tour of Roanoke, I almost forgot Dixie Cavern yesterday."

  • It's the little details that make a big difference!

"We rent from VRBO anytime we vacation within driving distance of our home. We'd read about the Virginia Creeper Trail and decided we wanted to try it. We rented this cabin based upon the comments about it's proximity to the trail. Our GPS lead us right to the address, yet we felt we had the mountain to ourselves. The interior of the cabin is just as you see in the photos. But, they are the only VRBO owners to provide everything except the food, including: toilet paper, paper towels, coffee beans, coffee grinder, liquid soap, dishwashing detergent--and even a footstool in the kitchen for shorties like me who need to reach something on the second shelf of the cabinets! We loved sitting in front of the fireplace watching TV. The towels and washcloths were the plushest in any cabin I ever rented. The beds were extremely comfortable. The kitchen ware was nice; In some places we've rented the cookware was all beat up. On our first evening, 3 deer nibbled on grass in the front. The mountain stream was peaceful and relaxing. It was pretty cold and windy when we were there, or else we would have spent our evenings in front of the fire pit, listening to the mountain stream. Finally, the people in this area were some of the friendliest folks I have ever met! We want to come back next summer and do the trail again, and we hope to stay here."
