"Our family of four (plus our dog) just spent two days at this cabin for Thanksgiving and had a great time. The cabin is beautiful, we all relaxed the moment we stepped inside. It is clean, the beds are comfortable, and the kitchen is well stocked for cooking. The gas fireplace kept us all warm, despite the freezing temps. The cabin is in a development of similar cabins (#18) and it has one of the better placements - the views from the porch and bedrooms are of the woods and farm fields, and it feels very private. Games, books, videos and TV provided. We highly recommend this cabin for your next vacation. Great place to stay if you're touring the Blue Ridge."

"My family comes from Indiana, South Carolina and Georgia to meet up with Virginia family for Thanksgiving. This was the perfect place. It was like living in a postcard for 4 days. We found it clean and ready for us. Lots of room. The living/family room was large enough for all of us to sit, laugh and play multiple games. Very well stocked with everything you could want in kitchen. A trip to Mabry Mill was a must to see it covered in snow. Chateau Morrisette was extra special since it was their Christmas tree lighting day and we not only experienced the wine tasting for free but also enjoyed the school choir performing Christmas songs and peformance of a scene from the Nutcracker by a local dance group. The owner was very friendly and lightning fast prompt in responding to email questions and calls."

"As the opening lyrics to John Denver's great song say this house will make you feel about as close to heaven as you can get on this planet. Plus, the music in these mountains will get under your skin if you give it any chance whatsoever. The house is beautiful with majestic views that can't be caught by camera and defy description, you have to see it to believe it, the very reason that if you truly want to get away to a quiet, wonderful place to relax and enjoy the mountains this should be your destination. The house was immaculate and very well stocked, all you need are your food and your clothes. The house is so large and well laid out that 3 families or 3 couples could live there and either enjoy each others company in the huge living room with windows that provide views that have to be seen to be fully appreciated, or live in their own spaces without hardly ever seeing each other. Every bedroom has it own bath and every bedroom leads onto a 2 level deck that you will just sit out on and marvel at the views. Birds soar below your perch on the deck as you look down into the magnificent valleys below. The owner was responsive to any inquiry and had a small hot water heater problem fixed almost immediately. We saw deer and wild turkey as we drove down to Floyd and to Meadows of Dan. The people in these small towns are just about as good of folks as you would ever want to meet and the live music at the Floyd Country Store should not be missed. We have rented several cabins in the mountains in Western North Carolina but this one, our first in Virginia, was our favorite to date. We will be back. Thanks Bill for a great stay."
