"A great place to unwind and relax. It was very cozy and perfect. I was impressed with a temperature of 3 degrees and the wind blowing up to 40 MPH that we did not feel a single draft in this well maintained cabin. An excellent place to stay with an excellent hostess."

"We loved the place: the dock, the evening fires, the great house and land, the wonderful view of Claytor lake.
The first day we dropped kayaks into the lake from the State Park and rowed them over, its very close, but the end of the week we carried them up the stairs and up the path to the road. That was a big effort but quicker than driving to the park - most people won't want to do that.
We biked the New River bike path and crossed several bridges and through a tunnel. That was a great trip.
We saw many dear and at least 10 turkeys lived just over the hill on the way out.
Its easily one of the best vacations we've ever had."

"My husband and I spent 2 wonderful days/nights at Maple Spring Inn. The renovated farmhouse is beautifully restored and decorated. The amenities in the kitchen and bathrooms were plentiful. The entire house was extremely clean.
We enjoyed drinking some local wine on the front porch in the cool evening air. Very peaceful and tranquil in a country setting yet only a few miles from downtown Abingdon. We are avid VRBO travelers and found this particular house to be among the best we've encountered.
Enjoyed biking on the VA Creeper Trail, viewing the fall leaves from various mountain stops, seeing a show at Barter, and eating some delicious food in town (Rain Restaurant, Ellis Soda Shop, and Heartwood Supper Series).
Would highly recommend this property if you're planning a visit to the Abingdon or Damascus area."

"We recently spent spring break in Abingdon. This property was AMAZING and perfect in every way! Fabulous location for bike rentals, the trail and restaurants! We spent two days biking the trail and my kids loved running around the yard in the afternoon while the adults sipped wine on the screened in porch. We walked next door for bike rentals and walked to dinner at wonderful restaurants each night! The house is spacious, clean, new and super comfortable. The owner could not be more accommodating and gracious! She was extremely helpful with maps, restaurant recommendations and other questions we had. We will definitely be back to Abingdon and will DEFINITELY be staying here!"
