"8 teachers at our yoga studio stayed at Steve's house for a two night retreat. The house was perfect for our needs. We cooked all of our meals and the kitchen was fully equipped and spacious enough for all of us to move around and hang out. Everyone had their own bed and there was plenty of room to sneak away for some quiet. We rolled up the rug in the main room and did yoga in front of the stone fireplace with a view of the mountains and the peak of the leaves changing. We walked and used the hot tub several times throughout the day/night. Overall, it was a great stay and we are already talking about making this an annual trip."

"This condo was huge. We had a large balcony, dining room, and a very big living room. Sleeps 7 comfortably when pullout bed is used. Well-stocked kitchen and gas grills on each side of the property allowed us to save money by grilling at night and eating in. The positive to this side of the lake is peace and quiet. The only negative is it's not close to anything if you need something. The closest convenience store is about 12 -15 minutes. It closes at 9 pm on the weekends, but has gas and live bait. If the condo had wifi, my teenage kids would've rated it perfect. I was fine with no Internet for a week, but I would recommend taking a printout of all marina, restaurants, rental places, etc with you. Understand that 90% of these places are on the other side of the lake (30 min drive minimum). The shape of the lake makes road and especially water navigation very challenging. Have a lake map with reference numbers and a good GPS app on your phone. The dock at this property where we fished, ate, swam, and just hung out was awesome, too.
We will definitely return to this location."

"The owners were prompt, thorough, and wonderful to deal with. They answered any and all questions we had. The condo was perfect for us, a family of four, getting away for a holiday ski weekend. The condo was super cozy, had everything we needed and was great for a ski in/out location. The view was amazing. Would book again without hesitation."

"We've just returned home from Smith Mountain Lake and had a wonderful time. We rented this home as the lake is centrally located between my siblings and my mom, we were celebrating her 60th birthday. There is plenty of space to spread out and the home is wonderfully equipped. The owners were delightful to work with and when mailing the key, they even sent a "Happy Birthday" message to my Mom which was very kind.
The personal touches like the birthday message AND leaving all we would need to make s'mores was very thoughtful and well received. I don't think you could find nicer people to rent from.
I would recommend this home and location to anyone looking for a relaxing time spent with family or good friends (or both!). The only recommendation I have would be to bring your own bed linens as you are required to wash & dry them before you leave. We brought our and simply remade the beds which made the morning of departure far less hectic.
We hope to go back to this home again next year, it was an absolute blast."
