Nice secluded house - great location for Shenandoah hiking!
"This is a great location for hiking in Shenandoah National Park - which was our goal. This is 5 minutes away from the Old Rag parking area, so you just can't beat this location, especially when you want to get there at 8am!
The house is lovely, with great air conditioning - we were comfortable the whole time. The kitchen is nice and well stocked with everything we needed. We did some shopping at the Madison Food Lion (about 15 miles away) and stocked up the fridge.
The house is very clean and nice and we enjoyed our stay. If you want to be off the grid, then this is perfect, but even the TV antenna was not working, so that was a minor inconvenience. The DVD player was fine and we did enjoy some movies after long days of hiking. We also hiked Bearfence mtn, which was a good warm-up for Old Rag, and Whiteoak canyon for the beautiful waterfalls. We also enjoyed a campfire and appreciated the split wood that was available."

"The accommodation was comfortable for the two of us. The condo was clean and well appointed. It was close to all that Bernard's Landing had to offer, everything was within walking distance. Would definitely rent it again if we were to return to Smith Mountain Lake."

"We have been coming to Smith Mountain lake fot many years. My husband doesn't get excited ever...but he was smiling ear to ear when he stepped in the door! The pictures do not really show how beautiful it is! Everything you need is here! The kids loved jumping off the top of the dock. I loved how close it is to the Bridgewater marina. ..5 min....perfect!! The walk to the water was very well laid out with lights all the way down it ,for evenings spent fishing. The firepit was so beautiful looking out over the lake! We had a huge storm while here and it knocked out our elecrtic in some places...the owner was wonderful to deal with...he had a maintenance guy here right away! Cant say enough good about it!!!"

"We stayed here for an extended weekend at Wintergreen to attend a tennis academy and get some much needed R-and-R. The bathrooms have been updated and are in good condition. The king bed in the master BR is very nice.
The deck is great--you're looking directly at the chairlift machinery, but there are beautiful mountain views beyond. You have to get up early to see the sunrise--the condo faces east. Wintergreen amenities including the main lodge, the Edge restaurant, and the market are in close walking distance.
The condo shows a bit of wear and tear, including the carpet in the sunken fire pit area. We would have also appreciated a list of TV channels, as there were hundreds of channels and it was difficult to browse.
