  • Fantastic Get-Away

"I stayed at Deer Ridge this past weekend for a 'Girls Getaway' and we all agreed the pictures just don't do it justice. It was a wonderful experience and we all want to go back! Bea is a great hostess, the decor brought me right back to my New England roots, and the deer came to greet us in the morning. Don't hesitate to book this one!"

  • Spent a weekend tubing and glamping!

"We stayed here for two nights and it was great! A beautiful approach to the house at night, with lights twinkling all around the porch. The pictures are accurate and actually don't give it justice. You really do need 4WD to drive up the driveway (they're not just saying that). We spent one day tubing near Scottsville (about 45 min drive away) with James River Runners and afterwards returned to the cabin to grill and enjoyed a fire and smores over the firepit. I would definitely return- so relaxing! The house is beautiful too and the owners respond quickly to questions even during the weekend."

  • Cozy, off-the-beaten track retreat

"My girlfriend and I stayed at the Squirrel's Nest last weekend and it was a great homebase for our activities in Central VA. The pictures don't do the quality of the design and the cleanliness of the place justice. It's a great place for 2, although it might be a little claustrophobic if you have 4 or more in your party. We loved the loft bedroom and the family room area. Thanks for helping us have a great weekend!"

  • Perfect for a Girls Weekend

"My girlfriends and I just got back yesterday from staying in this absolutely charming cottage. It is immaculately clean, neat and tidy. We could not have asked for better accomodations. It was close to all the attractions we came to visit (Monticello, Montpelier, Ash-Lawn Highland and local wineries). One of the best parts was being able to walk to the downtown mall and have so many restaurants to choose from. We were very sad to leave this beautiful home. Don't pass up an opportunity to say at this fantastic rental. The owner is so easy to work with and she made everything comfortable and easy for our stay!"
