  • Great Getaway!

"We rented the cabin to host family visitors for graduation at UVA, and we all loved it! We loved the hikes and and the fire pit. The cabin was warm and cozy. The wrap around deck was great for morning coffee or evening sundowners. We enjoyed the family history on display, and quickly felt we were in someone's home, not a rental property. Our dogs enjoyed the hilltop roams and curling up by the fireplace. We'll want to book next year for the next graduation!"

  • Cozy wonderful home in a majestic setting

"This rental is by far one of the best places I have stayed in the area. I have stayed here a total of three times, once in May, once in October, and most recently over New Years. Each time of year there is a special beauty to the location. Huge windows facing northwest towards the mountains, large fireplace, wonderful kitchen, and a serene peaceful setting. The location of this house is wonderful - near vineyards and hiking trails, yet just a short drive to Charlottesville. The house is very well maintained and extra cozy - and the owners are very helpful!"

  • Heards Mtn House

"Stayed here with extended family for the UVA Graduation week-end. This house was perfect for our group. It was close enough to Charlottesville but just far enough away to give us a private get-together. Very quaint and all the modern conveniences needed in a home. Some from our group toured Monticello, some visited wineries and even a float on the James river in addition to the graduation. The fire pit outside was wonderful. We didn't make any fires in the house wood-stoves or kitchen stove but they looked very interesting. There was plenty to do. Directions were easy and the instructions for the house were well explained. I would recommend highly."

  • Fabulous Getaway

"My girlfriends and I spent a delightful weekend at the Manor home and enjoyed every second. The house is comfortable, beautiful and has everything you need. In fact, we hardly left the house due to snow! There are two fireplaces, three very well appointed bedrooms, impeccable bath rooms, a chefs kitchen, and a beautiful screened-in porch, where we enjoyed the snow by the fire. The heated floors were another special treat. Barbara was extremely helpful and available all weekend. Our only regret was not getting to visit the many wineries and breweries nearby! We will certainly return."
