"Our families have enjoyed several nice long weekends at this lovely home. The views of the Lake and mountains are spectacular and the house is located on a quiet road, which was nice, as well. Lots of room to spread out. The master bath is particularly nice with jetted tub. Rustic charm with modern conveniences...only wish we could have stayed longer and more frequently. The rental management company is very friendly and accommodating."

"I just returned from a wonderful, relaxing, weekend vacation @ the Sun Dancer. The pictures on your website did not do justice to the gorgeous scenery views and lodge accommodations. Not only was the location perfect but the home owner, Geri, was perfect to work- so accountable and accomodating!
Our group had wonderful weather the entire weekend and enjoyed exploring Old Rag Mt, wine tasting at Sharp Rock Winery, sipping cocktails on the deck while playing board games, and meandering through the Copper Fox Distillery. A great time was had by all who attended and we all cannot wait to rent this location again."

"When visiting the Lynchburg area in the past, we have typically done the hotel thing. We were traveling with a group of family so we were looking for someplace that would be easier to socialize and "be family" instead of having to go from room to room in a crowded, noisy, busy hotel. We happened upon this place and thought we would try it out. It is approximately 20 minutes to central Lynchburg - not bad at all. So easy to fall in love with this place. The initial impression when driving up (and it was incredibly easy to find) was a gorgeous house on beautiful property. There are plenty of trees, yard area, a small pond, and wildlife galore. In the trees were bird feeders which made birdwatching easy and fun. When entering the home, the appointments were impeccable. The home is near perfectly restored to its original 1800's splendor and in every little nook and cranny was an unexpected surprise of some little artifact or decoration. The BOOKS! So many books that we could have gotten lost into.
My group was so impressed with everything that was available to us from linens to toiltries (including high end shampoo, body wash, and lotion) to food to wine to cook wear to board games to a grill and smoker - we were lacking for nothing.
This is a definite do-again the next time we are in the Lynchburg area."

"We had a great time at Old Rag Cabin, the cabin is secluded and quite. I'll be honest , if you like me searching and searching well then don't with this one and book it, the river is literally within 10 min walk just hope the river is'n't low, but you can still see the trout in there, the lake or pond has fish and great for the kids to have fun but would not recommend eating the fish or swimming there and is in front of the cabin. If you leave the cabin and head to the main road and make a right turn you go up route 600 till it ends that will be the Shenandoah National park or one of its many location great for hiking and enjoying nature. The view at night of the porch is great but of the pond is amazing, the Cabin has everything you need to get through which was enough. Bring your own DVD movies if you want to watch s movie cause that is all that is available there, you do get cell service but by Food Lion in Madison 10 min drive or so. To sum it all up if you want a true experience of Nature then come here I'm sure there are many more but stop looking. Oh SkyLand Drive is worth $20 to drive on for a 7 day pass but it is definitely worth it the views are also amazing maybe next time we go at night time if they allow it. Well I hope my reviews helps in you decision. Have a great time with your experience.
Thank you so much Jane ( owner ) and Kevin ( manager ) for having us and giving us the best deal in the area. We really do appreciate it."
