  • Couldn't have been better!

"From the moment we walked through the door, we could not have been more pleased! The house was spotless, rooms were large, kitchen was stocked, and it has a view that would seem impossible to beat! The kids all had a blast jumping from the top deck into the water, and took advantage of all of the floats, noodles, and especially the kayak! We rented a boat for the week and everyone enjoyed exploring the huge lake and some super fun tubing! We also had many a happy hour on the beautiful sun deck. But I think we all found the most relaxing spot of all was the paver patio/fire pit that sits right on the edge overlooking the gorgeous lake. I really don't see how any spot on the lake could be more beautiful than this house! We would LOVE to return and would HIGHLY recommend this house to anyone thinking of visiting Smith Mountain Lake. The location is very central to everything, and the house has everything you could ask for! One of the best vacations ever..."

  • Perfect place to stay if you want to hike Old Rag

"We LOVED our stay at this cottage! We got there in time for a nice lunch and then my husband and I walked to the Sharp Rock winery and managed to fit in a wine tasting and a glass of wine before my son collected us for 5 pm Mass at St. Peter's in Washington, VA. It was great to sleep in the next day, have a hearty breakfast, and then hike Old Rag. We left my 79 yo mother at the cottage that day and she had a lovely time relaxing. We then came back, took showers, had a great dinner, and then relaxed some more. We will definitely be back! PS - we usually make the Old Rag hike a day trip from the DC area but that means getting up at dawn, driving 2 hours, hiking for almost 5 hours, and then another 2 hour drive home ... using the cottage as our base was a much, much better plan!"

  • Ladies Retreat at Lake Anna

"I had the pleasure of spending the weekend at Lady of the Lake in early November. It such a relaxing weekend with an amazing view of the lake. The size was perfect for our group of about 10 ladies. The most amazing part of the stay was the fire on the beach down by the lake. (Private beach may I add?) Even though we stayed in November, the cool air did not keep up from enjoying the lake. This home is a beautiful place to just get away and enjoy some relaxation time! I would definitely recommend this property to anyone who loves the lake!"

  • Pirate's Cove perfect place for a family get away!

"The owners were very flexible with us and accommodated our last minute plans. As soon as we arrived we made ourselves at home and were on the dock enjoying the water view. We had everything we needed and enjoyed a very relaxing weekend on the lake. The use of the kayaks was awesome since my 11 year old son learned that weekend how to kayak by himself. They also did a lot of fishing. Wish we had more then the weekend to spend here and will definitely come back to SML."
