"We were looking for a property close to Shenandoah NP, specifically near Old Rag Mountain (our favorite hike in the NP). Tucker'd Out is minutes from the trailhead and you'd be pressed to find a more complete, tastefully designed and provisioned accommodation anywhere. Surrounded by working farms and wineries, the Blue Ridge Mountains form a backdrop of stunning views. The small country market in the hamlet of Sperryville (gateway to the NP) a few miles north (on Rt. 522, enroute coming from DC) provides well-selected food and beverage essentials. I seriously can't imagine better; wonderful of the Carter's to share this property.
I hate writing these kinds of reviews, however deserved, since I'm simultaneously making it difficult to book in the future."

"This is our second trip to Whippoorwill Farm. Our first stay was to celebrate the engagement of a dear friend, and this trip was to meet up with two other families and their children. In total we had 6 adults and 8 children of all ages, all with beds and room to spare. If you are looking for some R&R, look no further -- sauna, gun range, skeet shooting, gourmet kitchen, grill, beer garden, hiking, 4-wheeling, beautiful vistas... its all here."

Magical, Secluded, Perfect Property to Get Away from it All!
"My wife and I stayed here because we wanted to get away from everyday life and be "off the grid" for the weekend and this property was perfect for that! The property offers seclusion and privacy more than any other place we have ever stayed. We also wanted to visit some vineyards and hike Old Rag. The is a vineyard within walking distance and a few others within a short drive, and the start of the hike is walkable as well (about 2 miles away). The house was very clean and maintained very well. I cannot rave enough about the location and privacy - absolutely perfect! I caught some fish in the pond, snapped a picture and quickly returned them. We saw deer and many different kinds of birds, a lizard, bunnies, and a little mouse crossing the "driveway". The only thing I would like to mention to potential renters are bring your own water if you do not care for well water, there is basically no cell service on the property (although mine worked on the far side of the pond!?) and watch for bears (we saw 4) but as long as you don't bother them they mind their business. The only thing we would change is the fact we had to leave..."

"WOW, WOW and WOW!
We spent the weekend at SunDancer for my daughter and future son in laws "last fling before the ring". From the minute you drive up and see the house on the hill you know it's going to be good. But the minute you walk thru the door - just stunning.
The house is decorated beautifully. I can't even begin to describe the hand hewn walls, the amazing decorations in each of the rooms, the bathrooms are a decorator's dream. The knick knacks - and the game room down stairs - incredible.
The view is to die for. Sitting on the huge deck overlooking the valley and mountains is just breathtaking.
Did I mention the house is HUGE? we had 16 people and no one was on top of each other.
We'd love to spend another weekend at SunDancer - the house was stunning and the time there fabulous.
Girls went to a few wineries (Boot camp at Little Washington was perfect and then a private wine tasting at Quievremont) and the boys went tubing."
