  • Great place to unplug and unwind!

"Our family of four spent a weekend here to refuel before a move across the country and our Soldier's upcoming deployment. It was a wonderfully peaceful location in a beautiful natural setting. My boys (11 and 15) scoured the surrounding area and enjoyed hiking, exploring, and fishing. We cooked out on the grill and roasted hot dogs and created s'mores at the fire pit. The cabin is so cute; quaint and cozy. Each boy claimed a futon couch and slept like babies each night. We enjoyed a fire in the indoor fireplace and had everything we needed to cook meals in the kitchen. The only thing that took away from the perfection of the stay (for me; my boys were not bothered) was a few insects. Stinkbugs inside the house and huge bumblebees on the balcony were a minor annoyance. We loved our stay. We left feeling rested, refreshed, and in awe of God's beautiful creation."

  • Secluded country oasis

"The farm is beautiful. The house is charming and of a different time, while having all the amenities of a modern home. The property was rambling hills, where the kids, dogs and adults ;) could run and play. The hiking trails were fun but watch which one you pick! "Yellow" is a hike and a half! A lot of fun was had all around. Manual wheelchairs owners take note - there are ramps but may require assistance to access all rooms."

  • Ideal Virginia Vacation Accommodations!

"It is difficult to decide which was better ... the quaintness of the winding country roads along flowing streams, green rolling hills, and Shenandoah National Park so close ... or the peace & tranquility of this beautiful property itself, facilitated by dark starry nights and an oh-so-comfortable cottage providing excellent nights' sleep! The cottage & acreage afford a quiet, private atmosphere, with wonderful countryside views - We appreciated being in the country while still enjoying the conveniences of so many nearby towns, history, shopping, and recreation. We enjoyed as many of the near-by historical sites as time would afford: Monticello, Montpelier, Ash-Lawn Highland, a day trip to the DC area (Alexandria, VA / Mt. Vernon area), and even Appomattox Court House & Jefferson's Poplar Forest. All were fantastic! The Saturday morning farmers' market in downtown Culpeper was a treat, too. Many, many thanks to our hosts, the Tuckers, for the detailed and caring handling of all our needs!"
