"This rental is by far one of the best places I have stayed in the area. I have stayed here a total of three times, once in May, once in October, and most recently over New Years. Each time of year there is a special beauty to the location. Huge windows facing northwest towards the mountains, large fireplace, wonderful kitchen, and a serene peaceful setting. The location of this house is wonderful - near vineyards and hiking trails, yet just a short drive to Charlottesville. The house is very well maintained and extra cozy - and the owners are very helpful!"

"This home well accommodated our family gathering of 11 adults. The spacious kitchen, large dining room table, layout of bedrooms and unique spaces provided the space we needed, as well as opportunities for privacy. Wonderful hiking area, both on resort and nearby Appalachian Trail. A few items in the house needed attention/fixing and the owner promptly had those items that could be immediately addressed taken care of within a day."

"We had a wonderful stay. My children enjoyed the loft as well as the porch. The home was very spacious and open. Our small dogs loved the porch as they watched deer in the woods. We would definitely stay again!"

"We enjoyed a romantic long weekend getaway late June. The cabin was easy to find and the owner provided lots of very detailed info prior to our stay. 4WD or AWD definitely needed to traverse driveway which is starting to erode a bit. While there we hiked Crabtree falls which was beautiful but a little bit of a letdown once we reached the top. The best part of the falls is definitely at the bottom and middle. We drove about an hour to zip line at Sandy River and enjoyed the challenge. We began and ended each day with downtime at the cabin. It is well stocked and layed out well. We bought groceries before arriving and made most meals there. There are a few games and books and movies although we never once turned on the tv. The fire pit is nice. Only two complaints. We thought the cabin had easier access to the river. We were quite disappointed in the cleanliness of the cabin. There was dog hair everywhere. On the bed and pillows, stuck in all the rugs, on kitchen counter and dishes as well as inside the fridge and freezer. The reviews on this cabin were very good so I'm hoping this was just a case of prior guests not cleaning up well upon their departure"
