"The house is very nice and is well-maintained. The pictures don't quite tell the whole story (deck, rec room, hot tub etc are all photo-worthy). We spent a lot of time on the deck, which was a nice place to hang out or for our group of 10 to have dinner. The fire pit was nice and I wish we would have used it a bit more. The room configuration worked well four our group: my family of four upstairs, my brother's family of four downstairs, and our parents on the main floor.
We rented a ski boat and keeping it at the dock worked out well. Swimming in the cove is nice, but I'd recommend a boat so you can explore the lake, swim other places, ski/tube, etc."

"My family has been coming down to the lake for vacation for the past 8 years and have stayed in a different house every year. We all voted this as the best house we've stayed in. For starters, it was the cleanest by far. The layout is awesome...with 4 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms, plenty of privacy. The downstairs is terrific...pool table a big hit with the kids and adults:-) Deck is the best I've experienced...awesome views and a screened in porch option.
Our favorite aspect was the dock, which was phenomenal. Kids LOVED the party deck and ability to jump into the deep cove. Felt very safe as the dock sits in a quiet cove...not a lot of boat traffic to worry about. Owners were terrific to work with. I appreciated that they checked in by phone the day we arrived to ensure everything was as expected. Location of the house is perfect...we prefer staying in this area (calmer water, less boat traffic)...but still close enough to marinas. Plus, the ice cream boat that comes by daily at 11 am...a fan favorite for the kiddies! Kids love Bridgewater marina...arcade, mini-golf, Moosies restaurant, etc. (close by boat or drive).
Only thing I'd point out is that there are quite a few steps to dock. For the able-bodied...a nice workout to justify eating the nachos at Moosies...for the elderly or disabled, it would be tough to get up and down.
A great week, everyone had a blast! We hope to be back next year if the owners will have us!"

"The house is much larger than the photos on VRBO appear. Everything about the house made for a nice getaway. It is located in a quiet subdivison but the lot is very private so you definitely have the sense of seclusion and privacy. Plenty of deck and dock sitting areas. I would definitely recommend this house for your vacation!"

"We were an extended family of 9 (active grandparents 78 and 82 yrs. old), 50+ old son and 2 teenage boys and daughter, son-in-law in late 40's and 2 teenagers. The house was very pleasant, clean and well equipped. The teenagers had a great time as they are very active - loved jumping off the dock and having the whole basement area to themselves. Wi-fi was great! My daughter and son enjoyed cooking in the well-equipped roomy kitchen and we could all eat together at the adjacent table in the kitchen. My husband and I enjoyed the screened in-porch off the living room where we could be outside but comfortable. The air conditioning was a life-saver as it was a particularly hot week. The bedroom situation was a little odd as to get to the downstairs bedroom you had to go through the bathroom. I (the grandmother) had a hard time with all the stairs, particularly going to the lake as the way down was long and steep and there was no railing on the stairs. There was also a very long wooden walkway which led to the dock. The dock area was very nice and you could sit out of the sun on the lower deck while the teenagers jumped from the top. I would be particularly concerned for young children negotiating the steep stairs. The beach was non-existent and the ladders not deep enough for me to go in and out of the water comfortably so I never got to go in. I will say that I was not familiar with the SML area and most of the houses have a steep access to the lake. Having to bring all the sheets and towels was somewhat a problem and would be particularly so for anyone flying in from afar. Luckily we had a van and drove up from Florida so could bring the 7-8 sets of sheets and pillowcases and 20+ towels. I have rented a number of houses through this and similar sites and always had linens provided; this may not be the case for this particular area. We rented a large pontoon boat with tube to pull the kids and everyone enjoyed it. Grocery shopping is nearby as was the boat rental. We all had a great time."
