"We had a wonderful summer family vacation here. Everything the owner describes is true to form. The house was well-appointed, clean and in good working order. We really enjoyed swimming and playing on the beach. They provide many toys for young children to enjoy outside. We are already planning our return trip. Thank you very much to the owners for sharing their beautiful home."

"We had a wonderful week at this Deltaville retreat house! The setting was private and serene, while still being minutes to the grocery store and farm stand. The house had everything we wanted, including 2 kayaks to play with and enough water at the dock for our own 2 boats. Moore's Creek is lovely, and has easy access to the Piankatank River. The house's kitchen is well stocked with good quality utensils, and the provided linens and towels were very nice. The house is very comfortable for two couples. We spent most of our time on the deck, overlooking (or out on) the Creek, but the living room is a cozy, comfortable place to read, talk, or watch movies. The dock is not a good place to swim, but the bird watching is fantastic! We hope to return to this house."

"We had a wonderful stay in this well-stocked house. Everything we needed was there! We loved taking the kayaks out for a spin in the cove (perfect for those of us with less-than-superior kayak skills) and then relaxing in the hot tub. We also took a day cruise to Tangier Island which we wholeheartedly recommend, and had a fabulous dinner at the Crazy Crab in Reedville. Overall, a wonderful time."

"We visited and stayed at another rental home last year for the 4th of July and wanted to find a place closer to Irvington this year. When looking, we found The Blue House and the location is a perfect jumping point for both Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula sightseeing. The house is convenient to the Tides Inn, restaurants, the Dog & Oyster vineyard and the Irvington Farmer's Market on Saturdays in the summer. The highlight of our stay was being able to roll out of bed and watch the local 4th of July parade, which walks right in front of the home. We enjoyed a few days trips this year to Mathews, Urbanna and Kilmarnock. Of course, no visit to this area is complete without a stop to both Merroir and Northern Neck Burger. If you like to read in bed, pack a book light. We highly recommend this rental home and a visit to this area if you haven't been. It's truly a wonderful small town and a nice getaway."
