There are two ways in which you can get across the bay. The Chesapeake Bay Bridge connects Anne Arundel County and Queen Anne's County in Maryland. The bridge measures a distance of just under five miles. In Virginia, you can drive from Norfolk across to Cape Charles through the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel. This engineering feat is an attraction in its own right. A series of bridges and interconnected tunnels span the width of the bay, connecting the two land masses.
