"This home was perfect for our small family. It had everything you needed to be comfortable and to feel like home. It wasn't too extravagant so we felt like we were home.
We stayed for 3 nights and we made each day worth while.
My husband and I did a bike ride around the peaceful neighborhood and took the kayaks out. It was so fun!
The kids enjoyed having wifi and the board games that the house supplied. We were all happy and had a wonderful time!

"My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home was clean, nicely decorated and was in a perfect location. We could relax or get loud without worry. We dined in for most of our meals and found the essential cookware with no problems. We also got use from the boat and canoe. As promised, we found a small 'private beach' that was perfect for the grandchildren. Just a note for my fellow northerners, try the fried pickles at the Fairgrounds. Thank you Laura for spectacular week."

"This home has views from every window and there are walls of windows on all sides. The sunsets over the water made everyone stop and take a breath. the home has the softest sheets and blankets I have ever experienced in a rental property. Pete and Debbie made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived with cold sodas in the refrigerate and a quick sailing lesson for my husband. I would recommend this home to friends and family."

"My family and I were searching for a retreat on the Eastern Shore to cover the wide variety of ages and activity abilities of our group. Our accommodating host, Mike's, home fit that bill and more! My family included my home-bound mother that wanted to sit on the deck and bird watch, to my teenage sons that I couldn't keep inside if I tried! I didn't have to at this sweet retreat! The home boasts a canoe and two kayaks to use at your pleasure along with a crab pot to set out to catch your dinner for the night! Along with crabs, we also caught our share of fish for the 3 nights that we stayed! You can even cook them on the big grill/burner and steamer right on the deck! The sleeping accommodations worked fine for my family. It was great to have the extra beds in the bedrooms. My 9 year old daughter loved sleeping in her own bed in our room. Our mom took the down-stairs bedroom, as she does not do stairs anymore. Something that is not mentioned in the info for the home is that there is a ramp for the house as well as stairs. I am not sure about recommending it for a wheelchair, but it would very easily accommodate a walker. My mother-in-law found it very easy to enter the house via the ramp instead of taking the stairs. My kids were pleasantly surprised to find that we had Wi-Fi and satellite TV. We took a day trip over to Assateague and the ponies happened to be visible on our way through Chincoteague! We got to take many pictures right from the car where we pulled over! That was a huge treat for us and will be talked about for a very long time to come!! It was a great little ride over to the beach at Assateague and Chincoteague. We wanted to stay an extra night because we felt like we hadn't enjoyed the cottage enough! Mike answers his emails promptly. He was very flexible and so relaxed about making our plans work. Thank you Mike! We hope to get back very soon!!"
