"So, my husband and I arrived on Thursday afternoon, really looking forward to get away from the noise and crowds of our regular life; Silver Beach Cove is everything it promised - solitude and the unending view of the water. The house and all it's amenities were wonderful, even with the weather being cooler and a little rain, we would have never considered leaving before our reservation ended. Every morning and evening we sat on the swing and watched the sun, watched the water in the cove change with the tide. We kept all the blinds down to see out all the time, watch the moon through the bedroom window, we rarely turned on the tv - just appreciated the lack of sirens and traffic. I took a walk and saw deer, listened to the birds and every meal was taken at the dining room table looking out at the water. Honestly I really do not know if we could have had a better time, even in the summer. Thank you for being so accommodating with our reservation, and we will recommend it to our friends."

"We love this house on Chincoteague Island. We spent every morning on the porch, sipping coffee and looking out the canal at Oyster Bay. If you like to kayak, this is simply heaven. A short paddle across the bay, through a narrow, reed-bound channel in Morris Island and you're in a haven of blue and white heron, comorants and snowy egrets on the shore and inlets of Assateague Island. Even if you're not a kayaker, you'll love the quiet relaxation this location offers. It is truly a jewel in beautiful Chincoteague."

LOVED LOVED LOVED our stay at the Captain's Quarters!
"What a wonderful place to stay for our first visit to Chincoteague. The Captain's Quarters is exceptional, beautifully decorated, very comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. It was very quiet during the first few days in November which made for a relaxing fall get-away. We unfortunately did not get to experience the wonderful sunsets as Mother Nature did not cooperate with clear skies, but we were in awe of the beautiful views from both the living room and bedroom. We made a few trips over to see the ponies with no luck but the park is beautiful (take a walk through the Visitors Center - it's very informative) and I got to see the ocean and walk on the beach. The "tip sheet" Bonnie provided proved very helpful in selecting restaurants and places to see while on the island. Bonnie was also extremely helpful and responsive is all aspects of the rental transaction - and SO EASY to work with. We highly recommend staying at the Captain's Quarters and will definitely choose this property when we return to Chincoteague Island :)"
