  • "Adorable is an Understatement!"

"My 3 girlfriends and I stayed here for a 'girls weekend'. We were so delighted with the adorable and luxurious cottage with the river view! What a delightful surprise! From the little touches in the décor to the luxury of the terry bathrobes & towels! Deena has thought of everything! The bathroom albeit cozy has the most luxury per square inch. The heated towel rack and the overhead shower heater made us feel spoiled. We enjoyed sunrises (with coffee) and sunsets (with wine) on the porch enjoying the view of the river and the ferry. In fact I was so impressed I came back 3 weeks later with my husband! He loved the cottage too! I highly recommend it! Enjoyed a fire on the beach at night and watched the lights of the ferry crossing the river. Spectacular! We will be back!"

  • Really enjoyed our stay and would stay again!

"My husband and I stayed for 3 nights during the fall. We really enjoyed the house, privacy and the wonderful ocean front setting. We relaxed on the deck and watched the many ships and boats as previous reviewers had noted. We walked along the private beach and to the fishing pier further down the beach. The house had everything we needed and was very comfortable. We found places to eat nearby that were very good and also bought fresh seafood at a nearby store and cooked one night. We had a wonderful visit at the maritime museum in nearby Newport News. We would stay here again and appreciated the recommendations and suggestions by our host regarding places to visit, eat and shop."

  • Clean, comfy and everything close by condo

"I stayed there for 2 weeks and enjoyed there from day 1. It was very clean and so comfy just like showed in the listing photos. Harris Teeter being next "door", I was able to cook everyday. Owners and/or manager was super responsive when I contacted for inquiries. As it's little away from busy/noisy Atlantic ave, you'd get to sleep sound at nights. Thank you."

  • Great house in Amazing Neighborhood

"We stayed at this house 7/5-7/12. It was a perfect house for us. There were 4 adults 3 kids. The house is updated, clean, well maintained and fully stocked with bikes, beach chairs, beach toys, and umbrellas and Pool noodles. It had tons of books, games, DVDs and cards. The owners sent detailed information about access to the house and directions. We arrived to an immaculate home with a notebook of important details listing grocery stores, restaurants, and things to do and see! The pool was clean and ready for use. I can't say enough nice things about the owners and their amazing house. We will definately rent this same house again next year. Without a doubt. My only complaint is that the week went by too quickly and I didn't stay for two weeks."
