  • Alexandria townhouse

"What a great, relaxing place to come back to after a busy day of sightseeing! This condo is equipped with everything that you will need for your "home away from home". It was very comfortable and clean. We had no need for a car as the buses stop right across the street to take you to the metro station to transfer for wherever you want to go. Besides all of the Washington sights, be sure to visit Old Town Alexandria, which has many historical sights also. Dan was very easy to work with. We would definitely recommend this property to our friends and family!"

  • Above the City with Convenience

"This property was above the city and conveniently located at a major metro bus stop so getting to and from Washington DC was easy. There was parking available, and the view of the city was really nice. The condo was clean and cozy, yet spacious with a balcony. The mirrors made the condo feel that much more open and spacious."

  • Loved it!

"Our family of 5, including kids ages 15, 13, and 10, stayed here for 4 nights on our spring break trip to DC. The cottage was charming and filled with quality furnishings and plenty of extra touches. Kitchen came with some basic spices, oil, etc. which is always nice. Jim and Lisa offered a campfire, Mt. Vernon passes ( saved us $100!), and a couple of bikes. Didn't have enough time to enjoy it all! The yard and neighborhood were beautiful and nice to run through, plus the bike trail was only a couple blocks away...great place to run along the Potomac! Our kids loved the cottage too and wished for more down time to just hang out there. Highly recommend!"

  • Perfect little home away from home

"My family of 4 (kids age 8 and 11) stayed at this precious little condo for a week while we toured DC. It was the perfect little home away from home. For such small square-footage, this condo felt much larger. The lay-out is great, with excellent storage space. It was a perfect space for the 4 of us to be able to spread out and enjoy our time. Everything was clean, well stocked, safe... we just loved it! And the neighborhood was just gorgeous and all the neighbors so friendly and helpful! The only issues we had here (which is in no way to the fault of the condo) was trying to figure out the buses. One day we had to leave really early, and the bus did not come according to schedule. One evening, we were to be out very late and the buses stopped servicing our area at 8. Simple fix, thanks to the advice of other reviewers here, was to drive to Capitol Mall, pay about $14 to park for the whole day, and take the metro rail in to the city. This VRBO definitely goes on my "favorites" list and if we ever decide to return, this is the place for us!"
