Perfect for a family
"We are incredibly happy that we chose to stay at the Instrata. I always do a lot of research before I choose a place for our family of 4 to stay. My #1 priority is safety and cleanliness. Then I worry about the combination of fun, convenience and price. The Instrata was perfect in every area. It is in a wonderful neighborhood. The apartment was huge and immaculately clean. We drove to D.C. (this unit is technically in Arlington but it sure seemed like we were incredibly close to everything we wanted to see) and we NEVER moved our car out of the provided parking spot. This was possible because the metro stop was less than 1 block away from the side door of the building. From this stop you can get to EVERY major spot in D.C. If you have never ridden the D.C. metro it is incredibly clean and convenient. After a long day of sightseeing my kids really enjoyed cooling off in the pool. The mini-movie theater was a big hit as well. There are a ton of restaurants within walking distance. The staff of the building was incredibly nice. We even had a chance to meet the owners who were also great. We got all of this for about the price of a single hotel room. Perfect place to stay."

"Our family loved the location of this condo for our July vacation. It was about halfway between Dupont Circle and U Street metro stations, which made it convenient by having more options on which line to take.
The condo was safe, and beautiful. The only knock on this is the living room furniture. It was beautiful, but painfully uncomfortable especially if you are planning to spend some time at the condo. We didnt, since we were sightseeing until late, so it wasnt that big of a deal for us, but if you are planning to stay there, keep that in mind.
Jarek was a great host and met us the day we arrived, and he provided us with a lot of great insight into the condo and neighborhood.
Great location, beautifully furnished, very nice kitchen, and bedrooms, the only knock is the comfort of the couch and chairs in the living area."

"This has been an amazing experience from beginning to end. Mary is absolutely delightful to work with! Her unique home is cheerful, bright, roomy and extremely quiet! Especially for being right in the middle of such an active part of DC. The artwork (some of which mary painted) is fantastic, and the roof terraces are gorgeous and very private. We had more than enough linens and the house was very well stocked with the "basics" and then some. We absolutely loved the location. About an 8 minute walk from 2 different metros, you can get almost anywhere in the city very quickly! Also, you are literally steps away from fabulous restaurants and shopping. The row house is a short walk from Trader Joe's and Whole Foods if you prefer to eat in. We stayed here for over two weeks. It was a great way to experience DC and live as a local. We would definitely return to this property! Thank you, Mary, for such a special and memorable vacation!"

"We stayed here for 5 days. There were 3 of us. This is the first time we have stayed in Dupont Circle, we usually stay in Foggy Bottom. The house is very nice with eclectic furniture. The beds were good and the place was really quiet. We had groceries delivered the first day we were there and had Chinese delivery for dinner that night which was great. Having laundry machines was great too since we had been traveling for 6 days before we arrived. The place is close to the Metro and you could get a taxi in seconds right outside the door. We barely heard the people upstairs and everything worked great. Lots of towels too. The only thing i would suggest is that if you go bring a roll of paper towels. We needed them for the kitchen. The place stayed nice and cool and every night it rained, which sounded great while we were sleeping in the basement. It was a little pricey, but it is a great neighborhood and DC lodging is expensive. I would not recommend putting someone on the couch in the living room. it was pretty uncomfortable. We didn't, so we were fine. Minimal stairs too. Leave your car at home."
