A wonderful place to stay
"I have to travel to DC every year for a conference and my wife will accompany me for the week so we want a home instead of a hotel room. We stay in several vacation rentals every year as we travel. We very much enjoyed the space. Close to the Marriot convention center, Metro Station, restaurants and the Zoo. It was just as described and the owner was very pleasant to work with. We feel like we met a new friend and not just a landlord. We recommend this as a great place to stay."

"Loved the apartment. Location was convenient, metro right around the corner, great restaurants and attentive owners during the booking process as well as during our stay. Kate was very helpful in booking our White House tour as well as taxi from the airport and all around great service from what we understand is a family operation.
The unit is newly renovated in an older building and looks amazing. There is a washer and dryer, which we used as it rained during our stay. Nice open space kitchen as well as large sleeper in the living, which our kids loved (I think, because the TV is in the living room and kept on watching TV late in to the night).
Overall, very happy with this unit and would highly recommend it to family with kids like ours.
There are many amazing restaurants right around the corner but our favorite was a little local pizza place, Red Rocks. Thin crust pizza, great outdoor seating and the neighborhood is all around you. The area is so alive it made us feel like"

"Nice home which is the upper unit of a row house. We appreciated the fact that there was no door key, a code with a push pad. This allowed our children to walk back separately while the adults lingered at the grocery, etc and there was no concern over getting locked out.
We found the kitchen to be generously appointed, and prepared two meals a day throughout our stay. Generous number of pots and pans, utensils, and dishes for a small dinner party.
We experienced no issues with WiFi. If you read reviews noting that compliant, the WiFi issues seems to be resolved.
The place does get a little dusty, the rugs seem to shed terribly.
Many, many restaurants to pick from just a block or two away. Within easy walking distance to a Whole Foods and a Trader Joes.
Biggest downside was distance to the Metro Station. 6ish blocks to both the U street station and the DuPont station. I usually like to be a little closer to the stations than that, but is is certainly not a bad walk. Neighborhood is very, very safe for walking around day or night."
