"My friend and I stayed here for a 4-day getaway and it was PERFECT! The house is exactly as pictured and really not difficult to find (just watch for the signs). We were greeted by the owners, Rick and Karen, who were so welcoming and made wonderful recommendations on restaurants and things to do and see. We went into Middleburg every day to shop and eat and explore, but because the house is so well-appointed, we still cooked several meals "at home." The house was clean, bright, and spacious, and the entire area felt very safe. I can't recommend The Hunt Box enough - stay here and you will not be disappointed!"

"My third visit to the Play Garden did not disappoint. This place has something for everyone. You can spend the day lounging in the pool or just relaxing on the massive veranda overlooking the beautiful Shenandoah River. Those of the group who needed a more active stay, floated and kayaked down the river and hiked part of the historic Appalachian Trail. One of our days we ventured into Washington DC to sight see. It was an easy drive in and we were back with plenty of time to entertain guests with dinner on the porch.
Delightful stay filled with great memories."

"My family including our puppy cannot say enough wonderful things about staying at Cardinal Springs. The location is superb for exploring the Shenandoah National Park, wineries and breweries, great restaurant or for just relaxing. We were able to do all this on a wintry long weekend. Reading books by the fire while enjoying the view after a leisurely walk was one day's activities. Another day great brunch in nearby Washington and then a quick hike in the Shenandoah. Everything you need is provided for you luxuriously in these accommodations. The view, again, is spectacular and communing with all forms of nature really brings one back to earth after the hectic life so many of us live. We will be definitely going back!"
