"My family of 4 spent a weekend here - and this place knows how to bring the good life! The house is very spacious, the breakfast was plentiful, and we enjoyed 3 meals sitting right outside, just enjoying the scenery. My kids loved exploring the farm, seeing the sheep and llamas, and paddling a canoe around the pond. There are brochures with nearby attractions - which are plentiful. We spent one day at nearby Great Country Farm and another in Harper's Ferry. There are at least a dozen nearby wineries to tour in the area. It was a great weekend of relaxation away from DC - our normal home. If you're considering this place for a wedding - it's gorgeous!"

"Our family spent about ten days at Hazel Mt. Haven this summer. The house is spacious and airy, with high ceilings and lots of windows. We specially enjoyed relaxing on the large deck. The kitchen and bathrooms were well-equipped with lots of dishes, silverware and towels etc, which worked well for us as we had friends and relatives visit us during our stay. Even with the extra people the house did not seem crowded.
The location is lovely, with views of Old Rag and the sounds of the Hazel River nearby. Dick and Judy were great hosts, very helpful and accommodating. We can highly recommend this house - it is a great getaway in Rappahannock County."

"We gathered family from Texas and from The Netherlands to celebrate my son's wedding in Fairfax VA. The home was perfect. There were 12 of us staying in the home and we had plenty of room to be together and plenty of room to spread out and find our own quiet spots as needed. My 86 year old mother took the downstairs room which had a futon in a room next to a full bath as her domain. It was perfect as she did not need to climb the stairs. The back door had only one step which also made it easy for her to come and go. The home was beautiful, immaculate and provided just what we needed to have a family gathering to celebrate. The neighborhood is lovely with nice, quiet and friendly neighbors (one who was playing on the street with her family took a family pic for us!) Many thanks to the owners. Their correspondence throughout the reservation process, as well as their quick responses to emails when we were on site were very much appreciated. This was my first attempt at using HomeAway. It was such a pleasant experience, I can't wait to use the service again. Highly recommend this beautiful home!"

"I needed a place not only for my family but for my extended family. A Hotel was out of the question since we were staying just over one week. We were gathering for a family wedding and I couldn't have been happier with the location and comfort of the house. Walking distance to the Metro and just a short drive to DC.
The convenience of making our own meals and being able to feel comfortable in a home is awesome. This is something I will look to do in the future. The owners were very gracious a a pleasure to work with.
Thanks for opening your home to my family."
