"We shared this home with my brother's family, which added up to ten people in the house. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were able to make a big breakfast each morning in the huge kitchen. We easily saved hundreds by not having to pay hotel prices for food. Our teenaged boys each had their own room, which we ALL appreciated!
The house is only about 20 minutes from the Mall and museums (non rush hour). The area is residential with a wide variety of property values. There are many fine Asian restaurants nearby that reflect the population of Annandale. Full service grocery stores are between 2.5 -3.5 miles away.
The house had very comfortable furniture and lots of tables/ chairs. The main staircase has hardwood treads and it splits to provide quick access from the bedrooms upstairs to either the kitchen or the front rooms below. We were particularly grateful for the dining room table that sat all 10 of us comfortably for a family meal. The kitchen has a powerful microwave, gas burner stove, wall oven, blender, toaster oven and full sized refrigerator. The home is at least 20 years old and it shows some wear in places, but it is mostly cosmetic issues. Some of the kitchen pans & equipment are becoming scratched/worn, but we were able to work around it.
The bedrooms are spacious and the mattresses are firm. The bathrooms have plenty of hot water and good pressure in the showers. Tons of closet space and every room had a large dresser.
We didn't use the gas grill but it was clean and full sized. The kids enjoyed the back yard.
Overall, we wouldn't hesitate to come back again. The house is an excellent value compared to staying in a hotel in the District. Having so much space (and plenty of bathrooms) reduced the stress of traveling with 2 kids and 4 teenagers."

"My sister and I were looking for a weekend getaway from the city. This cabin was absolutely perfect. We loved that there was no wifi and spent our time outdoors in local activities or sitting on the cabin deck and looking for bears. The cabin has everything you might need including nice touches such as coffee filters and dish soap/sponge. We only needed to bring any food that we wanted to eat. The beds were super comfortable with ample pillows, nice sheets, and firm mattresses. The cabin itself is quite charming; the pictures didn't do it justice. Checking in and out was easy and well managed. Bonny was quick to respond to emails."

"We stayed with 2 adults and 2 kids (11 and 13 years) a total of 10 days at Richards Condo and enjoyed our vacation very much. Being close to the interstate 395 and Route 7 gave us the opportunity to reach everything (from the Great Falls or Mount Vernon to Downtown D.C.) in no time. There is a Safeway and a little shopping Mall few minutes drive away, but also a little store close by provides everything you need urgently. The spectacular view by day and night towards THE MALL in DC was a real treat. Parking place was very generously provided and we truly enjoyed the nice swimming pool in the afternoon. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything needed to provide hot and cold meals and we made good use of that. It is a perfect place to stay and explore the metropolitain area and return whenever you feel to a place you can call "home away from home"."
