  • Perfect for family Christmas!!

"We had 7 people here for Christmas and the house was terrific. The gourmet kitchen was perfect to cook our large holiday meals. They had no problem with our dog staying at the house with us for the holidays. House was immaculate upon our arrival, and the cleaning fee was very reasonable. Adam was very easy to get in contact with to work out the details (and was quick to refund the security deposit), and Nina the host was more than flexible with our arrival. Found the amtrak station in culpeper very convenient. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Totally recommended."

  • Pretty and Peaceful.

"I always enjoy staying in this pretty, peaceful cottage in beautiful Upperville. Thank you to all who keep it so nice and could not be more hospitable making arrangements before my stay, and afterwards when I leave something behind."

  • Really enjoyable stay

"We recently stayed at Hobby House and really enjoyed our time there. The house includes a garage where you can park your car, although it is a tight space, it's free parking. The house comes as advertised and we found if anything, the pictures on the website didn't do it justice, which is unusual. The kitchen was spacious and well equipped. There were plenty of bathrooms (3 for four people) and the house was lovingly restored. It was easy walking distance to a metro stop (about five minutes) and a close walk to old town Alexandria and its shops and restaurants was no more than a 10 minute walk away. It was an ideal location. The only complaints I had were minor. The bedrooms had doors but there was no privacy because there were open windows above each door, which I assume was for circulation. It was also a city house, so there was a lot of traffic noise and the third bedroom had a pullout sofa that wasn't all that comfortable, but overall we were very pleased with the location and would recommend it to anyone."
