  • Wonderful

"We had a wonderful stay in this house. We were with 3 couples from the Netherlands. It was an amazing house in a wonderful setting. If we had the opportunity, we certainly would rent this house again."

  • Wonderful house for the family

"I needed a place not only for my family but for my extended family. A Hotel was out of the question since we were staying just over one week. We were gathering for a family wedding and I couldn't have been happier with the location and comfort of the house. Walking distance to the Metro and just a short drive to DC. The convenience of making our own meals and being able to feel comfortable in a home is awesome. This is something I will look to do in the future. The owners were very gracious a a pleasure to work with. Thanks for opening your home to my family."

  • Great Spot

"Great Spot to get away from it. Lovely quiet community with most amenities a short drive away. Superb for those wanting to brush up on civil war history, the area drips with it! Most things you need are in the house, but would say that it would have been nice to have had some outdoor furniture for the deck as it was summer and perhaps a convenient gas BBQ, but this doesn't detract from the overall place. Great spot. Many thanks!"

  • Relaxing Stay near Old Rag

"Our family spent about ten days at Hazel Mt. Haven this summer. The house is spacious and airy, with high ceilings and lots of windows. We specially enjoyed relaxing on the large deck. The kitchen and bathrooms were well-equipped with lots of dishes, silverware and towels etc, which worked well for us as we had friends and relatives visit us during our stay. Even with the extra people the house did not seem crowded. The location is lovely, with views of Old Rag and the sounds of the Hazel River nearby. Dick and Judy were great hosts, very helpful and accommodating. We can highly recommend this house - it is a great getaway in Rappahannock County."
