  • Great mountain house

"This is a great home. The views are worth the stay. It really takes advantage of the mountain views and makes for a great getaway. There is plenty of space. We liked having three king beds which provided more comfort for each couple. It is a gem."

  • Great place to unwind

"This is a great little "Farm House". It was clean, comfortable and so relaxing. It's much better than the pictures show. The parade of cows on the road of the entrance was great to watch. Barbara was great to work with. She sent very detailed info on stuff to see, grocery stores, restaurants, etc. I would stay here again without question. Thanks again Barbara!"

  • Peaceful and serene getaway spot.

"We loved our stay at Rose Hill. The owners were attentive and easy to work with, both before and after our stay, and it is evident that they love this home and want to share it with those who can appreciate it. The website gives a good indication of what to expect. The house is old and historic, so it has some quirks that make it an interesting place to stay, but the bathrooms and kitchen are modern. The sunny back porch was a delightful place to sit and watch the cows, donkey, woodchucks, and the spectacular mountain landscape. The well-equipped kitchen is beautiful, with nice appliances and ample work and storage space. Rose Hill was a great home base for exploring nearby Lexington and Staunton, as well as having access to numerous hiking trails. The house was clean and well maintained. The house is very close to I-81, so the road noise is always in the background, but the serenity of the spot is a wonderful place to rejuvenate the spirit."
