"We rented the unit for the Spartan race but were able to shake free a couple of days early. Barb was very accommodating in letting us extent the front end of our planned trip. The house is located near the top of the mountain, close to all of the amenities. We were able to walk to the starting line for the race. Walking back was a bit more difficult! We had three families with two kids each and there was plenty of room. The kitchen was stocked and we made most of our meals there. Everyone loved "The Plunge" hike, also walking distance, and the kids enjoyed the community pool, as well as the well stocked games closet. We would book again."

"We rented the house for my daughters 22nd birthday. Everything about the house was very nice and relaxing. Beautiful home with plenty of room and a wonderful view. We had a wonderful time. The owners were wonderful to work with."

"We stayed in Moccasin Lodge Friday-Monday and had a great time. Great size home, very cozy feel, with lots of rooms and sleeping options. (rooms with 1 bed as well as rooms with bunk beds for doubling up!) The house was easy to get to, and we lucked out with the resort having their Valley Fest that weekend, which was a blast! (We walked to Valley Fest which was a little over 1.5 miles from the house.) Good size kitchen and fridge to store food for a couple of days and there are definitely enough pans and even a crock pot to utilize during your stay so you don't have to pack your own! They also provided linens and towels which was nice.
Really nice grill which was great for kicking off summer with a cook out and the double back deck came in handy so it didn't get too crowded on one level. The only cons I can think of is the house is on a hill so there isn't a yard to make use of (corn hole and our crochet set had to stay in the car) and there was not a fire pit as advertised so our s'mores will have to wait until another time.
Will definitely be keeping in mind if traveling back to Massanutten!
P.S. Be careful if you park at the bottom of the driveway! Gravel can be tricky in a smaller car!"

"We had a group of 10 guys getting together for a relaxing weekend and this house was perfect. Plenty of space outside for beer and horseshoes, and a huge kitchen for making big meals. The house wasnt cavernous but there was enough space to sleep us all and for us to all hang out comfortably inside or out. Didnt hurt that the weather was perfect, either. We plan to make this an annual trip and we will definitely be staying at this house again."
