"We stayed here with friends for a 3 day college reunion. I hate motels and their crowds, thus Rose Hill was a pleasant alternative, only 4 miles from Lexington's city limits. You will be thoroughly briefed on how to find the house and how to respect its idiosyncracies. Nonetheless I would recommend you first arrive before dark. A 5 minute slow speed drive from Rt 11 will bring you to the house and you may see wild turkeys and deer enroute. There are notes posted everywhere to help make the house work for you. Having lived in an historic residence for 30 years, I appreciated their being there. The kitchen is modernized, making in house breakfasts a breeze. I entertained 25 classmates and family in a spacious gallery with a stunning view of the surrounding countryside. My guests were wow'ed. The bedrooms are upstairs; there is one bathroom upstairs, one downstairs. For family this is a none issue; otherwise, don't forget to pack a robe. If you're adventurous and appreciate sampling historic residences, you will enjoy your stay at Rose Hill."
