  • Embrace Winter with this Chalet

"we love love this chalet! so comfortable in every way, from the burning fireplace to cozy tv/ ping pong room downstairs. the division of bedrooms was nice, with kids' rooms on main level and master suite upstairs. Angela is the perfect host, welcoming us with a bottle of wine, providing linens/towels and allowing pets -- all w/out any extra fees! the house has some basic supplies, but glad we bought cooking oil and extra toilet paper :) we cooked all our meals- can seat up to 10 ppl (at dining table and kitchen bar). house is located about a mile fm Bryce but on steep hills, on snowy days, 4X4 is way to go. we ski-ed and tubed all wkend, then headed to house to warm up w/some hot chocolate- perfect way to enjoy winter!"

  • Gorgeous House with Stunning Views

"My group of five good friends VERY much enjoyed our stay at this home. The house was absolutely charming. But the outdoor space is what made this house so great for us; both the front yard looks out over rolling hills leading up to a mountain range, while the backyard overlooks the neighbor's cornfield with ANOTHER mountain range in the background! We made liberal use of the brand new deck and outdoor grill. I woke up early both mornings to pour a cup of coffee and sit outside, taking in the majestic views. Our mid-fall visit was characterized by pleasant temperatures in the mid-50s to low 70s, so we could spend a lot of time outdoors. The fall foliage was in full swing, so the views were even more beautiful. The weekend was a welcome respite from my fast-paced life in the city. I'd highly recommend this property to anyone - it was easy to get to (right off of I-81) and has nearby amenities (grocery store and gas stations 5 minutes down the road). We were fortunate that our visit coincided with Shenandoah County's AutumnFest, a local festival with food, drinks and arts and crafts. Thanks!"

  • Great Cabin on the river

"We were travelling back to Williamsburg from Indiana and were looking for something secluded but also close to Luray Caverns and Skyline Drive. We were able to schedule a last minute mini vacation at the cabin and it was everything we were looking for. The owners were very accommodating and the cabin was very comfortable (I couldn't get my grandson off of the very large bean bag chair. We couldn't see or hear anything except for trees and water. It is a cabin and not a hotel so don't expect perfection as the cabin water did have a sulfur smell but overall it was great place for a vacation. It was well furnished and had the extras to make it comfortable. My grandson was happy that he didn't have to live without the internet or DirecTV in the evenings when we were done touring and canoeing. We hope to return again soon for a longer time period and spend more time relaxing and less touring."

  • Heaven on the Shenandoah River

"My husband and I and our Cocker Spaniels rented this cottage for a week at the end of August. The location was fabulous. Days spent hiking the Shenandoah National Park along Skyline Drive. Words cannot describe the beauty of this area. Also, hours spent sitting on our tubes in front of the cottage. Jan was kind enough one day to drop us off with our tubes so we could float down the river to our cottage. It was heavenly. Jan and John go out of their way to ensure you have a fabulous vacation and we surely did. Also, there was an issue with the water pressure, which they addressed and fixed immediately. We cannot say enough positive things about this property and area. Our dogs were able to run free in the large yard. Being from Baltimore, this was fabulous to watch them play off the leash with their balls and also be able to swim, which was a complete surprise when one day our dog jumped in behind us. I would recommend this vacation property to anyone and we will definitely be coming back next year. The firepit was also a great way to end a perfect day each of the 7 nights we were there."
