"My friends and I had a wonderful time staying at the Blue Moon Cabin. Karen was very considerate and helpful in getting us everything we needed. The cabin itself was wonderful! Everything was clean and ready to go upon our arrival. The beds were comfy, Central heat and Gas heater were both really nice as well. The hot tub was clean and so wonderful to sit in at night. The sunset off of the front porch was really fantastic as well. We had a great time hiking and relaxing. I would absolutely recommend this to family and friends. I will definitely be back soon!"

"My sisters and I were scrambling to find a suitable place to host my terminally ill father for his last trip to the mountains. We really lucked out in finding the cabin, which had exactly the dates we needed open as well as handicap access. When I first opened the door, I was overjoyed - it is truly gorgeous; photos can't quite do it justice. We really loved the whole feel of the place and delighted in the details. We'd rented a mobility scooter for my dad and he had no problems navigating from the outside to indoors or getting around the cabin. He even managed to shower there thanks to Annette's fabulously beautiful but also very practical remodeling of the master bathroom. From bedding to kitchen supplies, we were well provided for and lacked for nothing. The property was very clean and very comfortable. It is tucked away down a winding road with some river views, yet convenient to main routes, a shopping center, and attractions like Luray Caverns and Skyline Drive. Annette was easy to reach and a true pleasure to deal with. We are so grateful to have found this wonderful property, and my sisters and I intend to return."

"My family was looking for a place to get away from it all and enjoy some quality time together. We absolutely found it at Olde Surber. We were amazed at how clean and all the extras Olde Surber provided. The well stocked and labeled cabinets made cooking a breeze. Each night we sat in the parlor playing cards and listening to the radio. In the morning my husband and I enjoyed various hikes from the property, two of which are the swinging bridge and the trestle bridge, while the 3 teens slept in. Once everyone was up and fed tubing commenced. We especially loved launching from the fishing spot right across from the driveway and tubing for almost 2 hours and getting out at the swinging bridge. The walk back to the cabin on the creek was only 20 minutes. Our family was amazed at the amount of stars we could see in the evening as we roasted our marshmallows. You couldn't ask for anymore amenities then Olde Surber provides. Hiking, fishing, tubing, cornhole, 2 firepits, lots of wildlife, and a warm comfy home. Thank you for sharing your property with us."

"My family had a lovely time on our 3-night stay at Quietude. The weather was cooperative, so my nine-year-old daughter and nearly four-year-old son spent much of the weekend playing outside. My daughter romped and frolicked all over the property, making full use of the many varied outdoor spaces (hammocks, trees, gardens) and letting her imagination run wild. My son greatly enjoyed playing with the outdoor toys (tricycle, little tyke car, and all the trucks in the sandbox). It was Easter weekend, and Quietude was a fantastic spot for an Easter egg hunt! The house was comfortable and we had everything that we needed. We were thankful for the beautiful scenery (rolling hills and farmland), the soothing gardens and water features, the time spent with nature, and especially for the location, which was convenient for many day-time excursions - to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Shenandoah National Park, Waynesboro, Staunton, PolyFace Farm, and so much more! When we left, my son cried and was already asking when we could come back again."
