"The McDowell House was the perfect place for my family to stay while visiting Lexington for Thanksgiving. The house is incredibly spacious, with 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and a well-appointed kitchen. It was great to gather in the sitting room or around the dining room table, but was also really easy to sneak off to a secluded comfy chair to read or look at art. The architectural and historical character of the house itself is very impressive, even for Lexington. Finally, the location could not be better for just walking out the front door and taking advantage of all Lexington has to offer--the universities, shops, and restaurants."

Cabin plus the Views made this an Incredible vacation.
"The cabin was amazing it was "perfect" in every way. When we arrived it was really clean and nicely presented it felt like home very quickly. You can feel this is a family loved escape it has everything you need.
Watching the sunset every night was surreal it was so breathtaking.
Every aspect was just relaxing.
It felt like an honor to be able to stay in a cabin that is so close to the beauty of nature, to wake up to look out at the mountains makes you appreciate the peace & solitude you can enjoy.
The cabin is well equipped with all you need to prepare meals. We are already planning our next trip and counting the days.
The wine that was left for us was great and a very nice gesture!
Luray is a short drive away it is a really nice small town with lots of activities and places to eat if you want to explore.
We hiked to some beautiful waterfalls in the park, had some great food at local restaurants and got to see the caverns at Luray.
Thanks again for a wonderful stay & for sharing your cabin with us."

"I had a ball at Wintergreen, especially since we stayed here. It is located close to the central activities, Skiing, The Edge, and Tubing. The house is a cozy cabin with a lot of charm. The rooms were a great size for sleeping and holding your personal items. The bathroom was nice with very hot water for the showers. The deck would have been another nice addition to our stay if it didn't ice storm the first night but what can you do? The only concern I had was the lights outside near parking, they didn't work or I didn't see how to turn them on. We had to use the headlights from our vehicle to safely see our way to the door. Not a huge problem just something to keep in mind. Overall it was a great place!"
