  • fantastatic house

"This beautiful house has everything you would need. It is so clean, well furnished and organized. The owner is great to work with and so co-operative. My family had a great weekend here and would go back in a heartbeat. Everything is furnished except the food. It is so nice not to have to pack up towels, soap, dishtowels, etc. Also , There is flat driveway , which is not the case for many of the houses in this area. Great house!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The owner was very prompt in sending the deposit check."

  • Perfect Farmhouse overlooking stunning views of the Blue Ridge Mountains

"We booked this as a stop off for our long drive from Washington DC to Dollywood/Nashville. We arrived early evening and the farm house was lit up and welcoming. Barbara called to see if everything was ok and it was lovely to hear the history of this gorgeous Farmhouse. The Farmhouse was stocked with everything you could want tea/coffee and a selection of herbs and spices for cooking. Our teenage children were happy being reunited with Wifi while we enjoyed the stunning views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and the lonesome pine in the garden. After a great nights sleep we awoke to see a Ground Hog running through the garden. We loved it some much we stayed for one more night on our return to Washington Airport. If your looking for a peaceful haven and stunning views of the Blue Ridge Mountains this is the place for you. We were sorry we were not able to stay for longer - thank you Barbara"

  • Away from it all

"My family was looking for a place to get away from it all and enjoy some quality time together. We absolutely found it at Olde Surber. We were amazed at how clean and all the extras Olde Surber provided. The well stocked and labeled cabinets made cooking a breeze. Each night we sat in the parlor playing cards and listening to the radio. In the morning my husband and I enjoyed various hikes from the property, two of which are the swinging bridge and the trestle bridge, while the 3 teens slept in. Once everyone was up and fed tubing commenced. We especially loved launching from the fishing spot right across from the driveway and tubing for almost 2 hours and getting out at the swinging bridge. The walk back to the cabin on the creek was only 20 minutes. Our family was amazed at the amount of stars we could see in the evening as we roasted our marshmallows. You couldn't ask for anymore amenities then Olde Surber provides. Hiking, fishing, tubing, cornhole, 2 firepits, lots of wildlife, and a warm comfy home. Thank you for sharing your property with us."

  • A Comfortable Scenic Oasis

"We fell in love with the Falling Leaf cabin. It is a comfortable, scenic oasis. The cabin is quaint and the furnishings well appointed. It felt like home. It was an ideal setting to celebrate our recent engagement. I am sure we will be back soon."
