  • All property expectations were met!

"The photos and descriptions were completely accurate and the accommodations were clean. The place was inviting and our family (ages 6 and 11) felt right at home. The location was quiet and perfectly set in between all the resort activities. We visited during spring break week and if you want to participate in any of the resort activities including the water park that week, I would recommend arriving when they open. We arrived at the water park at noon and stood in line for 2 hours. Other outdoor activities had long lines as well. Regardless, we had a lot of fun and would definitely return."

  • Jamn

"Nice property, with a good location. Comments provided to owner: Gas grill: grate and deflector rusted badly and need to be replaced and propane could not be shut off. Downstairs TV does not work. Vent on microwave missing. Internet/wireless internet would be a great add."

  • Nice clean home with enough space and family-friendly

"We came to the area to explore Shenandoah National Park, which is about 15 minutes away we and enjoyed our stay. The location of the home was good, as it was nice to be in the mountains, but also be nearby population (there are houses next door and all around the area). The home was clean, had ample, comfortable beds, new carpeting and floors and was set up to be very family friendly. We stayed with another family-- one family was upstairs and the other downstairs. We loved the bunkbed rooms (versus queen beds, which would have had to been shared by children). Loved the ping-pong table and air hockey table, too. Between the games and the two large tvs and plenty of couch space, we had plenty of activities and room to relax. The only thing lacking was more space at the table and chairs to fit 14-- either outside or in the kitchen. Upstairs bathrooms could also use some updating, as well. We felt that the home was as represented and would recommend this home to others. The owner was also helpful answering our questions. We had an enjoyable stay!"

  • Well priced House

"I stayed here with my two sons over Spring Break. We explored the Massanutten area, JMU, Staunton and Luray using this home as our base. It is a great location for doing a variety of things in the Shenandoah Valley area. The driveway is very steep. I mean VERY steep, so be prepared for that. I was able to navigate it fine with my van though and soon got more comfortable with it. Roomy house with plenty of room for all of us to spread out. We enjoyed watching a DVD each night. The kitchen was very well stocked for me prepare multiple meals each day. Recommendations- the house seemed to stay quite warm, especially the upstairs. I really had to run the AC to cool the upstairs bedrooms down. I was surprised by this because it was not hot outside. Also, the family room needs more lighting. One lamp is not adequate for the space. Maybe add another? Finally, the outside lights (deck, door) were not functional and replacing a light bulb didn't fix it. You might want look into that. We enjoyed this property and would absolutely stay here again. Recommended. Oh, final note- I'm not sure how walkable this property is- it was set back which is great but otherwise off a pretty busy road in the area with no sidewalks."
