  • Nature at its Best!

"Impeccable. The comforts of home combined with the feeling of rest & relaxation of the great outdoors. Since this was a weekend visit we appreciated not having to pack all sorts of gear...Cabin is thoughtfully stocked with all that a family could possibly want or need. Hull's Drive In brought back fond memories, as did the drive through Safari Park.Goshen Pass is a must see. Secluded to a point but not too far away for exploring!. Grands paddled up & down the Maury River. We loved that we could sit on the porch & with a view of the water as well as the meadow. Just a little bit of heaven. Every detail was well thought out. This will surely be added to "our favorites" with the hopes that we will return someday soon. Added bonus was that the Bichon's were allowed to accompany us. Thank You, Judy March & Family"

  • Beautiful Setting

"Dave was on on-site when we arrived. He was very polite and even offered our kids a ride on his tractor which everyone thought was pretty cool. The setting here is very serene and after visiting Goshen Pass, we cooked a few steaks on the grill, then lit up up the fire ring. This was the best part of our visit. We roasted marshmallows and enjoyed the fire for hours. Being used to the smog filled DC area, it was so nice to enjoy a clear, star filled sky. Very nice. When we finally did turn in, it was only because a storm was passing through. The rain on the metal roof was incredibly relaxing. If we were to offer up any constructive criticism it would only be that we found it odd you needed permission to use the washer/dryer (?) In any event, this had no impact on our 5 star rating. Would definitely return."

  • Peaceful, beautiful country cottage

"We had a wonderful stay in May at Seven Oaks Cottage. The facilities were just as described, very clean and comfortable, and so homely with lots of personal touches and plenty of leaflets and advice about the surrounding area. We visited Staunton, the Frontier Culture Museum the Skyline Drive and Charlottesville - all an easy drive from the cottage. We also enjoyed the fresh eggs the owners gave us from their chickens! The owners were very helpful and friendly, whilst also respecting our privacy. We enjoyed seeing all the animals, walking in the forest on the farm and sampling some of the fresh strawberries growing just outside the cottage. The fire pit was great - toasting marshmallows in the flames, spotting fireflies and stargazing over the rolling hills around us - a truly magical stay, thank you so much."

  • Great Cabin on the river

"We were travelling back to Williamsburg from Indiana and were looking for something secluded but also close to Luray Caverns and Skyline Drive. We were able to schedule a last minute mini vacation at the cabin and it was everything we were looking for. The owners were very accommodating and the cabin was very comfortable (I couldn't get my grandson off of the very large bean bag chair. We couldn't see or hear anything except for trees and water. It is a cabin and not a hotel so don't expect perfection as the cabin water did have a sulfur smell but overall it was great place for a vacation. It was well furnished and had the extras to make it comfortable. My grandson was happy that he didn't have to live without the internet or DirecTV in the evenings when we were done touring and canoeing. We hope to return again soon for a longer time period and spend more time relaxing and less touring."
