  • Well appointed rustic getaway

"Just returned from a wonderfully relaxing long weekend at the Bear's Den. My friends and I were looking for a cabin with the privacy of camping but the amenities of home and we found it. Unlike some of the other rentals we considered, Bear's Den is nicely secluded with beautiful views from the deck and kitchen windows. The remote location didn't come at the expense of some creature comforts, though - it offered lovely bathroom and bedroom (all 5 of the bedrooms have at least a queen bed suitable for adults) accommodations and a well-appointed kitchen. Overall it was a great pick!"

  • Nature at its Best!

"Impeccable. The comforts of home combined with the feeling of rest & relaxation of the great outdoors. Since this was a weekend visit we appreciated not having to pack all sorts of gear...Cabin is thoughtfully stocked with all that a family could possibly want or need. Hull's Drive In brought back fond memories, as did the drive through Safari Park.Goshen Pass is a must see. Secluded to a point but not too far away for exploring!. Grands paddled up & down the Maury River. We loved that we could sit on the porch & with a view of the water as well as the meadow. Just a little bit of heaven. Every detail was well thought out. This will surely be added to "our favorites" with the hopes that we will return someday soon. Added bonus was that the Bichon's were allowed to accompany us. Thank You, Judy March & Family"

  • Father of the Bride getaway

"We decided to have a cabin experience over the weekend our daughter married, rather than an impersonal hotel. The bride and groom kept us too busy to do anything but sleep and change our clothes. We did try the hot tub, event though it was raining and even though there were no stairs to enter the tub. The view looked nice of the river and the fire pit, but the weather never stopped raining so we basically spent way too much money on this weekend. The road to the cabin is very rough, even with four wheel drive we were struggling."

  • Nice home, centrally located.

"A very nice, well equipped home. It is centrally located between a lot of the northern Shenandoah attractions. We stayed a week and day tripped to Front Royal, DC area, Manassas, Antietam, Harper's Ferry, Skyline Drive, Shenandoah museum and more. Seemed reasonable priced, I would stay there again."
