  • Out of the Army Ski Trip

"The property was accurately described; it was very comfortable and clean. Eric communicated promptly each time it was necessary - e-mail or phone call. Directions and lock box code were sent several weeks prior to arrival. If you go in the winter I recommend a 4x4 vehicle; driveways are very steep in the area! I would recommend this property to anyone with a large group - adults and kids. This was our first visit to Massanutten and knew the area was expecting 8-12" of snow the day after our arrival; it snowed non-stop and we were unable to participate in any outdoor activities. The home provided a cozy and warm place to "hang out" - watched the snow fall and the deer roam the back and front of the house."

  • Delightful place for the family to stay

"We were in the area for a November wedding. Three generations stayed in the home very comfortably, using three bedrooms but not the extra bed in the hallway. We loved having books and a crib available for the two-year old. Being able to walk easily into town was a real plus for us as we had only one car for 7 people."

  • Peaceful, beautiful country cottage

"We had a wonderful stay in May at Seven Oaks Cottage. The facilities were just as described, very clean and comfortable, and so homely with lots of personal touches and plenty of leaflets and advice about the surrounding area. We visited Staunton, the Frontier Culture Museum the Skyline Drive and Charlottesville - all an easy drive from the cottage. We also enjoyed the fresh eggs the owners gave us from their chickens! The owners were very helpful and friendly, whilst also respecting our privacy. We enjoyed seeing all the animals, walking in the forest on the farm and sampling some of the fresh strawberries growing just outside the cottage. The fire pit was great - toasting marshmallows in the flames, spotting fireflies and stargazing over the rolling hills around us - a truly magical stay, thank you so much."

  • Perfect vacation home

"Fumiko's house is great. We're 4 families with total 13 people and the house was more than enough with 5 big bedrooms, big dining area and all the amenities you'd expect, incl TV, cable, wireless internet in all the rooms. Kitchen was well sticked with all the utensils and spices etc. Each room has nice clean lines and comforters, and there were dozens more comforters in the laundry room incl some extra mattresses. Everything was very well organized and super clean. We had a great time there. It's my 2nd stay in this house in last couple of year, and have nothing to complaint. I would stay even more but sometimes our group has more that 14. Fumiko (owner) is very nice and responded with all the questions we have. Manish"
