"Jim and Carole,
We picked your property for our annual two-week vacation based on research about the area and your online presence on VRBO. We had high hopes, but it was so much more than we could have imagined. The peace and quiet is so refreshing, the grounds are beautiful, the pets and farm animals are sweet and fun to be around. We especially loved the dogs (David) and the donkeys (Marilyn). We took lots of photographs to document the wonderful time we had.
Your farm put us in a good position to experience many things the area has to offer. We hiked in Shenandoah National Park and from the Blue Ridge Parkway, as well as in the George Washington National Forest and the Monongahela National Forest in West Virginia. We explored Staunton, Harrisonburg, and Charlottesville and had some fabulous meals. David took several opportunities to experience fly fishing in the area.
But maybe most of all, your friendliness and hospitality made us feel comfortable and at home here. Thank you so much for opening your home to us. It’s a trip we will never forget.
Marilyn and David"

"We rented the unit for the Spartan race but were able to shake free a couple of days early. Barb was very accommodating in letting us extent the front end of our planned trip. The house is located near the top of the mountain, close to all of the amenities. We were able to walk to the starting line for the race. Walking back was a bit more difficult! We had three families with two kids each and there was plenty of room. The kitchen was stocked and we made most of our meals there. Everyone loved "The Plunge" hike, also walking distance, and the kids enjoyed the community pool, as well as the well stocked games closet. We would book again."

"There were twelve in our family party; my wife and I, our three children and their mates , our three grandchildren and a niece. The Massanutten Resort is a wonderful place to visit with lots of great activities. With grandchildren we were involved in many of them. I mention that because even with those activities the time we will treasure most is the time spent together in this marvelous home.
Other reviews have focused on the large rooms, the well stocked kitchen, the detailed organization and while all these things are spot on I would just like to add that it just felt like home. I met the owner who was very delightful and disarming. We feel like we have a new friend!! Highly recommend this property."

"My family and two friends stayed in this cabin over the 4th of July weekend. The cabin feels bigger inside than the pictures show. There was plenty of room for two couples and 4 teenagers. We cooked a few meals and enjoyed having the large table for playing games. A huge bonus was being able to bring our two dogs. We enjoyed playing golf and tubing from Scottville. Having the screen porch was also very nice. There is a separate den is good with a big group. The owner was always quick to respond to emails. Thanks for allowing us to enjoy you beautiful cabin!"
