  • Beautiful & Accessible

"We totally enjoyed our 3 nights at this unique & beautifully decorated log cabin. My daughter is wheelchair dependent and the cabin's accessibility was great. The easy access entrance ramp, doorways and bathroom facilities and shower offered NO barriers for maneuverability. The cabin is immaculate and we felt right at home. We enjoyed a campfire every night, the hot tub, walks to the fishing pond and the great view of Kennedy Peak and the mountains. The cabin is fairly secluded but close enough to downtown Luray, Luray Caverns, George Washington National Forest and Skyline Drive with there many sites and hiking trails. This is a great place to stay especially for those with a disability. Thanks Annette for paying such special attention in making your beautiful log cabin accessible."

  • It's called Lazy Acres for a Reason!!! :)

"This quaint little place was just perfect for our get-away weekend while visiting our son at VMI. It was clean, quiet, comfortable, and was the perfect size for what we needed. The owner, Amber, could not have been nicer, and was extremely accommodating. We played cards, cooked dinners, sat out on the porch, played football, took walks, took LONG naps (hence the ref. to LAZY) and enjoyed the lovely weather and the beautiful scenery. We will DEFINITELY be back! Another great thing about Lazy Acres cabin rentals is that there are two of them about 200 yards from one another, so if you wanted to rent with family or friends you could do so, without being on top of one another. My husband liked it so much, the first thing he said the second day we were there was, "I could live in this place"."

  • Spectacular Mountain Retreat

"Ed and Meshiel have an amazing home! The lodge was perfect for a weekend with family and friends!! We recently stayed at HHL with a group of 12 people. The lodge is huge and had PLENTY of room. Ed and Mishiel were there to great us and make sure our arrival was successful. We invited them to dinner our first night and enjoyed their company very much! Not only did the lodge have plenty of room, but it had everything we needed; plenty of plates/cookware/sheets/towels for a large group. All and all just really well set up for a relaxing weekend. The view from the lodge speaks for itself overlooking the Shenandoah forest. The fire pit was awesome and provided hours of entertainment for our group. Ed provided plenty of firewood for us and we were sure to use it! Skyline drive is a short 15 minute trip from the house and provided great views and hiking (hiking trail about 20 minutes away, off skyline drive). I would not hesitate to stay at the Lodge again and highly recommend it!!"
