  • Riverside Vacation Home review

"This rental was perfect for a family gathering with a large kitchen, ample seating, large gathering places (indoor and outdoor), volley ball court, jaccuzi's, and a beautiful landscape with a river running in the backyard. We had lots of activities nearby - hiking, biking, horse back riding, rafting, rock climbing, etc. Kids, parents, and grand-parents had plenty to do without having to drive too much."

  • Long Weekend at TigerLilly Hideaway

"Rating Details: I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Five adults and two children age 10 months and 5 stayed four night at this beautiful "cabin" located at the end of a cul-de-sac. There was always a peaceful feeling of privacy and coziness throughout and the amenities are awesome. The cabin is kid friendly and inviting for our entire family. We did swim at the rec-center, paying a 7 dollar per person fee. The pool did not have a lifeguard, but was attended by helpful staff and guests. Just a short drive to Roslyn, and to the Swiftwater Cellars Winery where we attended the festivities of our niece's wedding. My family would not hesitate to again stay at this location for future get-a-ways!"

  • If you like skiing or the outdoors, stay here. SUPER AWESOME!

"My wife and I stayed here with our three kids over winter break in Feb. The place is just great! the kids loved, LOVED the view out the living room window, my wife loved the walking distance to the lifts and I liked that I could work with good internet! We used the BBQ daily and the kids used the tub, which was fun to watch as it was snowing outside. All in all, super awesome stay and we're looking to book it again next year!"

  • House was perfect

"Rating Details: I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented the Suncadia Trail house for a long weekend getaway, and it couldn't have been any better. The house was immaculate, great floor plan, and perfect deck with hot tub, fire pit, bbq... everything you need. I would definitely stay there again! Also perfectly located between the Winery and the Lodge. Manager responded on 9/16/2014: Dan, Thanks for all the STARS! We appreciate you staying with us at Suncadia Trail! Sincerely, Kevin - All Seasons Vacation Rentals"

North Central Cascades Travel Tips

Cascade Mountains Vacation Rentals Make the Most of the Stunning Washington Scenery

Tucked away in the northwest corner of the sates, the Cascade Mountains are a stunning natural retreat for those looking for fresh air and plenty of outdoor activities. With superb recreational activities in both winter and summer, this area is popular with outdoor enthusiasts, nature lovers and sightseers.

The Changing Seasonal Weather at Your Cascade Mountains Lodging

The Cascade Mountains experience cold winter temperatures from November through February with significant snowfall. During the dry summer months, average temperatures reach 90 F (32 C) in Leavenworth although the high peaks are cooler and rainier. The scenery is particularly spectacular in the fall when the aspens change color and in the winter, when the mountains and forests are covered in snow.

Places to Visit from Washington Vacation Rentals

The Cascade Mountains extend south from British Columbia throughout Washington State and fall into three distinct areas. The North Cascades include Mount Baker, Chelan Lake and several national wilderness areas. The Central Cascades are very accessible, just two hours from Seattle, and a popular playground for locals as well as visitors, offering climbing, hiking, skiing and other outdoor recreational activities. The Bavarian town of Leavenworth makes for a popular day out with its alpine architecture, a replica "May tree," inns, cheese shops and other typically German attractions. It hosts many annual festivals and is an ideal center for restaurants, wine tasting, sleigh rides and outdoor theater events. Nearby, Snoqualmie is close to the John Wayne Trail as well as the famous Snoqualmie Falls. It has a casino, Rattlesnake Lake, and great ski slopes in the winter.

The Southern Cascades include the impressive snow-capped volcanoes of Mount Adams, Mount Rainier and Mount St. Helens, famous for "blowing its top" in 1980 and producing a cloud of ash which carried around the world. There are a number of visitor centers around Mount St. Helens which offer guided walks, lectures from rangers and excellent films about the history and geology of the area.

How to Reach the Cascade Mountains Cabins

The nearest airport to the Washington Cascade Mountains is the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport which is a couple of hours by car from most parts of the Cascades. The area is also easy to drive to from the I-5 which lies to the west of the area.

Things to Do from Your Washington Vacation Rentals

The Cascades offer miles of hiking trails through the forests. Hunting, horseback riding, birdwatching and rock climbing can all be enjoyed in this unspoiled area. The fast-flowing rivers provide great opportunities for fishing, picnicing, kayaking and swimming. The magnificent waterfalls in the area are also worth hiking to see. The area offers great driving tours and nature lovers are likely to see elk, deer, squirrels, eagles and ospreys which abound in the cedar and hemlock forests.

In the winter, there are countless opportunities for snowmobiling, alpine and cross country skiing, snowshoeing and sledding, although many of the passes and minor roads are closed due to the heavy snowfall.

Cascade Mountains Vacation Rentals Have Great Amenities

The only way to truly enjoy this area is by making a Cascade Mountains lodging your base for a weekend or longer. The fully equipped kitchens have refrigerators, microwaves, dishwashers and washer/dryers, and they provide all you need at the end of a day's outdoor activities. Prepare home-cooked meals and picnic lunches or enjoy grilling beneath the stars in your well-equipped Cascade Mountains home-away-from-home. The log fire, showers, soaking bathtubs and comfortable beds will be very welcome after a day of strenuous activity in the mountains. Well located with superb views of the stunning mountain scenery, they also offer great value for money when shared with friends and family.
