warm and cozy
"We had a wonderful stay at the Big Game Cabin. We loved the wood stove as we don't have one at our house. It really kept the whole house house toasty:) The kitchen was well equipped with any cooking utensils you may need. The surroundings are beautiful and property doesn't sit too close to the neighbors so you feel like you are in the woods. Just a couple of things that could be improved that kinda struck us as odd was that the towels were really old and some were brown with bleach stains all over them. There was also a hole in the shower curtain (the plastic one). The queen bed downstairs also had a bleach mark on the blue fitted sheet. I feel that this didn't take away from the great time we had but maybe get a whole bunch of new white towels so they don't get wrecked in the future;) Thanks so much!!

"Such an adorable, clean, beautifully decorated, well kept, secluded cabin!!!
The weather this weekend was exceptional which allowed us to enjoy the gorgeous fall colors, the driving range at Kahler Glen, a round of golf at Leavenworth Golf Course, Leavenworth Oktoberfest, fishing at Fish Lake and shopping of course at Plain Hardware (A MUST!!!). We really enjoyed our stay and wish we could have stayed longer! We hope to come back when there is snow sometime.
We would definitely recommend Whispering Pines Lodge...in fact several of our friends have all ready inquired about the cabin based on our Facebook posts/pictures!

"Our stay at the house was wonderful! Large house, easily slept our group of 10, with people downstairs. Two beds upstairs, plus a pull out sofa. Beautiful yard, and it was a quick drive to town.
1. Since they allow pets, the smell slightly lingered and irritated some of our group that is very pet-sensative.
2. No dishwasher or garage disposal. Didn't matter too much to us since we didn't cook at the house, but it probably would if we had.
3. I didn't realize at the time of booking was that there was an on-site property manager. She lives above the garage. Now, she was very discreet and we didn't see her after arrival, but it did leave a slight feeling of having a chaperone. Just something I didnt anticipate until the morning of our arrival.
Overall, we had a wonderful weekend!"

"We spent our Company retreat at the Dirty Face Lodge, it was very accommodating with plenty of room for the families that came. Very rustic and the neighborhood was beautiful and quiet. Very close to entertainment and the lake. I would recommend this lodge to family and friends that are looking to get away. The owner was very prompt with responses and gracious with our requests."
