    "We were a group of 13 women and the lodge provided ample accommodations for our group. The road to the cabin is a bit treacherous! Very peaceful and calm setting with lots of wildlife to watch and listen to."

  • Nice house a couple blocks from town

    "I reserved this house for a birthday getaway in March. The response time from the owner was very quick. I would definitely stay here again! The house was very nice and just s couple blocks from the Bavarian town, so we were able to walk there."

    "During the holiday season the management staff changed for Der Hoffway Haus, and the previous management moved to Oregon to deal with family health issues making contact difficult. She wanted to deal with this issue as she had booked Todd specifically. I was unaware that nothing had been done. When I was contacted by Todd, initially he ranted at me about the cabin not being decorated for Christmas and didn't let me get a word in edgewise. By the time he finished and allowed me to speak I was so upset that my upset and irritation came out improperly and I did apologize. I had no idea that the previous manager had stated that the cabin would be decorated for Christmas. My husband was diagnosed with cancer two weeks prior to their holiday stay, so we were unable to get up there and decorate because of his health and many prior trips up there to repair damage by previous renters had also exhausted him due to his health issues. Had we been aware of the managers promise we would have hired someone to complete the decorating process. Everything was in place with the exception of the tree and swags. Early last week I made the property managers aware that they can offer a partial refund and will contact them again today to see where they are in the process of making good on that. I hope this is a satisfactory explanation for the happening and again I did and continue to apologize for the difficulties."
