Beautiful and peaceful
"This cabin is so beautiful! It has a great kitchen with everything you would need to make a gourmet meal and many nice wine glasses and specialty drink glasses. It is beautifully decorated with a mountain lodge/antler theme through out. You have wonderful fluffy robes to use, chocolates and wine as a treat along with complimentary coffee, teas and farm fresh eggs!the hot tub is well maintained under a covered porch and is so relaxing. the beds are very comfortable with super soft sheets and the bathroom is very large with a very unique walk in shower. It is a great place to stay and I hope to come back again"

"We had a great time at the River Vista Haus. When we arrived the house was clean and is well stocked for cooking. We really didn't need anything besides the ingredients for the meal we were cooking. The house has a nice gas stove, a double oven, gas BBQ, great dish washer, and plenty of dishes and pots and pans to serve a large group of people. There is three bed rooms, two with queens and one master with a King bed and walk in closet(full of hangers) and a bath tub and walk in shower. There is another guest bathroom upstairs. Down stairs the kids have their own TV and Xbox with plenty of games, a huge tub of Legos, and a huge tub of blocks. There is also a kids bathroom that has a standup tub/shower. In the closets there was extra air mattresses(5 of them!), an extra twin mattress and lots of sheets and blankets. There is a ton of floor space and pull out couches as well as a futon. We had 13 people stay the night very comfortably, still had room for more. We reserved this house about 12 hours before we arrived and were contacted promptly by the owners who were very polite and helpful in getting it set up for our arrival. The best part for me was Fish lake just about 3 miles away, where we rented a pontoon boat for the whole family($25/hr) and drug some "Ford Fenders" through the water with worms and hooked trout after trout. My nephew and I went back day after day and rented a small aluminum boat($15/hr) and did very well as well. The moms enjoyed sitting out on the deck, in the hot tub, or down by the river. There is lots of geese and ducks on the river, and we even watched a Bald eagle cruise up and down the river, and even dive in and get a fish. We walked out of the front door and turned 90 degrees to the right and hoked about 300 yards to the upstream loop of the river and played on the river bank, then walked the entire loop back. It was very easy. We took a small raft, hiked up stream of the little island, and paddled out and played on it as well. The water was painfully cold, but the kids loved the adventure.
My whole family can't wait to go back and rent this house again. Thank you very much to the owners for sharing their lovely retreat with us!"

"Spent the weekend at the Chalet at Hanika Haus with my boyfriend. Very comfortable bed, nice setting on the river. Loved the personalized touches - waffle batter, fruit, muffins. Bathroom had plenty of towels, though the shower is pretty small. TV is great, being able to swivel it to be viewed from any part of the room was nice. The only suggestion I have for this property would be the addition of an oscillating fan in the room. With windows open the breeze was still not quite enough to make the room comfortable at the end of the day. We were unable to figure out how to make the AC work - turning down the thermostat didn't seem to make a difference. A fan would have made the room perfect. Sandy and Ted were very welcoming, even though we arrived past the check in time. Very nice people!"

"Our stay at Bergen Haus was everything we intended. The house was comfortable and well appointed with all the necessities for cooking and relaxing. The house is only a short walk to downtown and tucked off the busy main street. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends."
